Argh. Then I guess I'll have to keep messing with the audio settings

You can do that
Could it be that my CPU is not up to task? Should I try OCing it?

Your CPU might be a bit weak for this game indeed (with latest builds at least).

Not recommended with a laptop
Well then I'll try going to 3.0 with HLE hack and see if that improves anything for me.
Hello,
still did not resolve random crash/hang issue. Game plays at 25 fps without major fps drops, audio plays just fine.

I have redumped the disc (using FAQ guide) and checked hash (seems ok) also used r-2191. Still, after several minutes dolphin crashed. Noticed exceptioninfo.txt file which I have placed in attachment. I'm open for any ideas Smile
Anyone knows what I should do to fix the random freezing issue?

Quote:Game seemed to be running fine but I'm getting some bizarre freezes (music continues playing) that make me unable to do anything no matter what I press.
When I minize the window and open it again, all I get is a black screen. (music still continues playing)

I'm using the latest version of Dolphin...
Messing around with some of the hacks in config, how safe is it in Xenoblade to cache display lists, Skip EFB from CPU and the like?
I wouldn't recommend that you enable Cache Display Lists. There isn't much gain to be had, that's when it's not crashing Dolphin. I suggest you leave that one off. Skip EFB Access from CPU shouldn't have any performance impact on or off, nor should it fix or break anything.

Not sure if windows 8 has this update but, windows update KB2670838 was causing me to have crashes and hangs in dolphin when playing xenoblade, as well as any GFWL dx10 games, it's known to cause problems for alot of people.
Might want to check and see if that is installed, it's an update that MS no longer distributes as manditory and involves IE10 from my understanding.
