Hello, I'm on Dolphin 3.5-367 and getting a weird sound stutter whenever I start playing. It's fine on the start screen though. I thought this had been fixed?

Yeah, most audio issues in this game have been fixed. Use the latest revision. 3.5-367 is old. Download it from https://dolphin-emu.org/download
Oh awesome. Do I have to uninstall the previous version to do so?
You don't really "install" Dolphin on Windows; you just extract a folder and run the program. Anyway, there are two ways to "upgrade" without losing your settings and saves:

1) Copy the new Dolphin.exe to the old 3.5-367 folder (you can rename it if you want to use both instead of overwriting it)
2) Copy the old User folder from 3.5-367 and paste it over the new User folder from the latest revision.

Wait, seriously? We can just place the executables from two different versions into the same Dolphin folder? So that we could potentially switch between Dolphin versions without needing extra folders? Since certain games, such as Xenoblade, run better in the 3.5 version and were functionally abandoned in later revisions? Of course, I'm sure save states won't transfer across versions. None of the other Dolphin files were updated between 3.5 (supported, stable version) and some revision which typically gets released every umpteen minutes?
Yeah, no joke. Just copy+paste. You might have minor issues switching between revisions (e.g. you might have to reset things like the framelimit, nothing major). Some files have been changed, but not enough to cause severe problems.

For me, 3.5 runs like crap for XBC. Can't go an hour without crashing. The FIFO-BP and new-ax-hle merges make this game playable for me, so I wouldn't say Dolphin has abandoned this game at all. It's the opposite in my experience.
Wow, that saves me a lot of folder-hopping. I can just rename Dolphin to 3.5 and 3.5 rXXXX. As for XBC, it runs so smoothly in 3.5 for me, that it makes up for the few and far between freezes I've experienced (save early, save often!). In turn, it runs better than my console, which can't read dual-layered discs anymore. Yuck. And I'd spent so much time in XBC, too, without reaching the end. Incidentally, I wonder why the text is illegible on a TV, but perfectly readable on this monitor. There might be many reasons, but I'm convinced that there's some software purpose at work, because the text is /too/ legible on my monitor. The message boxes are clearly larger than when displayed on a television.

You mean like blurry or pixelated? Or you just can't see the actual words? If it's the first, it might be your TV's upscaling that's just not doing all that good. If it's the second, might be some overscan issue with the TV. Or it might have been the Wii messing up. Anyway, you really should finish this game (in HD no less), one of the best RPG experiences I've had in the past decade Big Grin
