I have an i5-3750k at 4.6 ghz. Is that fast enough?
Sorry, I've read the last 10 pages and the OP but I wasn't able to determine a clear answer: I'm suppose to run this game at 30 fps limit and there is no way to prevent sound distortion at 60 fps. Is that correct?

Should be plenty :p

Yes, the game was designed to run at 30 FPS (NTSC) and no more :p
Can someone link to the hle hacked version that gets mentioned so many times in this thread? I want to try it to see if it solves my crackling problem. Even though I seem to be getting full 30fps I'm still getting occasional crackling.
Hello!
Been futzing with Xenoblade Chronicles all evening. My fps constantly dips below 15 and I get wicked sound stutter. I updated to the absolute latest version of Dolphin (3.5 1745) and it seemed to make my FPS issue worse. I don't much care about looks, so much as I'd like to get a consistent 30fps running. Ideally, I'd love to run 1080p, but that might just be a pipe dream. Any configuration recommendations would be greatly appreciated. You'll find my hardware specs below.
AMD 4100 Quad Core 3.6ghz
8192MB RAM
Windows 7 x64
Geforce GTX 560
Thanks!
@Wildmog Your CPU is weak . You need to upgrade it to FX 8350 (cheapest option) . Keep in mind that FX 8350 @ 4.0 is still slower than i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz and i5 2500k @ 4.0GHz is slower than i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz
If you need a system for Dolphin , you will have to buy new Z87 mobo (MSI Z87 G43 for example) and new i5 4670k
Here is Dolphin CPU Benchmark :

I'm guessing your cpu is of the FX line?
Your gpu is good enough to run the game at 1080p, it's your cpu that's the problem, your only options to increase performance is to either overclock your cpu, try the above linked hle hacked version (which is faster, as it has less fixes, and i've beaten the game on it myself, but reliability is not guaranteed) or try messing with the speedhacks in game properties, otherwise the only other option would be a new cpu.
Edit:ninja'd XD.
Thanks for the speedy replies! Guess I'm going to the store tomorrow!
hey quick question guys and gals : which version of dolphin do you recommend for playing this game? i already read that the audio fix is obsolete since 3.5-1000+ but i thought about that if audio is often the culprit for this game“s issues, than the latest post 3.5-1000 new ax-hle might help getting some extra fps or would you just get the latest regular dolphin build from download page? is the new ax-hle thing probably already included in the regular builds from download page?
thanks in advance
