Hi people, I'm playing around with the settings on this game to see whats best but wanted some advice. Is their another way to test spped other then looking at FPS? And I'm having trouble telling which is best to use for some of the options(because the fps seems relatively similar for all of them). If anyone had advice for Direct3D9 vs 11 or MMU/MMU hack that would be great.

I have a i7 2670 (2.2ghz) and gt555m if that helps.
Thanks Smile
Look at the VPS, they will always be 50/60 AFAIK (if you are getting full speed anyway)

I'm not sure to understand what you wanna know here.
But if you got low speed it's somehow normal. Your CPU is a bit weak for this game
I thought i'd report on what i believe caused the issues i was having, as it's alot more problematic than most people realize and probably half the forum has the problem installed.

The crashing problem is linked to windows update KB2670838, which is a IE10 update mostly but was published to any win 7 machine(i honestly do not even remember installing IE10, but yeah), besides seemingly causing xenoblade to crash on newer revisions in dolphin, it also crashes GFWL games in dx10 or 11 mode(it causes the D3d11.dll to crash in GFWL games, steam sale taught me of the source of the issue XD) and also seems to make win 7 use more resources than normal, to the point that some weaker pc's have had BSOD's with the update installed, as such i'd advise uninstalling windows update KB2670838 if you have crashing issues.

Microsoft didn't revoke the update, and it can still be downloaded as an optional update (it was originally mandatory), so many people probably installed it without noticing.
So does it crash with dx9/OpenGL?

Xenoblade?
Yeah, but oddly enough GFWL games only crashed in DX10/DX11 mode, so i doubt it was dx 11 mode that was crashing xenoblade.

I was wondering if this was the place to get advice on how to run xenoblade smoothly with my system specs... I have the NTSC Version and latest dolphin... my specs are listed below. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am able to play it but I have bad slowdown in combat....
Right-click the game - Properties - Tick "Vbeam Speed Hack"
Still not get full speed ? Overclock your CPU to 4.4GHz
Hey guys, I was checking out some of the tester's specs on the wiki article, and it appears people who used Phenom II's around the 3.4-3.6 GHz range could run this game fullspeed for the most part. With all these new revisions and and better accuracy, would my 1055T running at 3.8 GHz be able to handle most parts of the game fullspeed? Im assuming my GTX 460 should be fine, like it is in any other game in dolphin lol.
Im not sure if this was already answered but... is there a way to get rid of the black bars on top and bottom of the screen? i got a 5:4 monitor and this is really annoying me since everything is so small and the slow movement of the camera doesnt let me see things above me like the crow monsters in the marsh area.
