no i cant use LLE sound, i have the same problems on all 3.5-xxxx version like HLE sound i dont now why.
I should probably point out that i was wrong, reverting my GPU drivers did not fix the crashing in xenoblade, not only that but i even disabled the overclock to test if my overclock had become unstable, and still it crashed.

As such i can rule out anything on my end hardware wise, i'm guessing that there is something in the ax-hle fixed dolphin that has an bug in the code that only effects machines with specific programs, drivers, etc.

If i was to harken a guess as to what is causing it, i would guess it is caused by a bug in post ax-hle dolphin versions becoming more prevalent when paired up with hardware that would expose more of an issue inside of it than normal (such as a dedicated sound card), which would cause the program to crash when too much bugged data is attempted to be processed , as it does seem to have something to do with sound, but it doesn't matter which backend.
That said i'm no programmer, so i cannot claim to be an expert.

As this is a very hard to reproduce problem that seems to effect only a limited number of machines (so far, i've only seen 3 people in this thread have the same problem as me), i do not expect it to be fixed anytime soon, but as it is definitely not on my end, at least not a defect, i will post my results here.

All i ask is that you leave the older hle fixed version of dolphin, that was made specifically for xenoblade active, as there will be others who have this problem, i can guarantee it, and otherwise it's the only version of dolphin that can play xenoblade without crashes or distorted sound.

Really makes me wish i knew coding, i'd put the fix on the stable version of 3.5 so i could still use efb copies to ram in the bionis interior XD.

Hello, on Xenoblade, my computer was running the game quite okay, around 20-25 FPS, but after I got Sharla, it now keeps on average 15-17 FPS. How can I fix this? Also is my computer too slow to run Xenoblade overall? I have a lenovo y400, 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB), NVIDIA® GeForce® GT650M GDDR5 2GB and 8GB (DDR3) ram. Thank you! Also I am using dolphin 3.5-1392

Your CPU is a bit slow indeed. You can't expect full-speed.
Your could try older builds (stable 3.5 or even 3.0 for example). They'll be faster but unfortunately you'll have to deal with random freezes. And the sound will suck
Use my settings then you will be fine

Not sure if anybody can help me with this..but I am attempting to patch my PAL version of the game with the 30 fps patch, and no matter what directory I put it in, I get an error 'Can't open the specified image file .. C:\Users\Sean\Desktop\Dolphin-x64\Xenoblade Chronicles.iso'

Anyone have any ideas? I tried switching FPS to '60' which does cause it to run at 30, but I get audio distortion and crackling.

Thanks!

I am successfully using the HD textures, so my game code matches whats needed for that...otherwise my specs are as follows (the important stuff anyway)

Windows 7 64 bit
I7 3770K @ 4.3ghz
2x GTX 670 FTW
8GB DDR3
Also using a soundblaster X-fi HD sound card.

The only thing I did was in order to get that audio working, I had to disable ZTP hack off that Xenoblade and I was done.

Just open the iso in a hex editor and change the SX4P01 to SX4E01. That's all the patch does.
I am currently having trouble with lag during combat only, I run at 30 fps consistently without idle skipping on, HLE sound, and all the graphics settings set to what's recommended for the game on these forums. Running on 3.5-367 with Direct3D9 on an fx-6300 processor, 4gb of ram, and a GTX 470. I run at 20 FPS in most combat scenarios with more then 2 mobs. Any help?
