Also, this game is graphically demanding for GPUs. Your GTX 260 should be able to handle 4X IR in most games, but it might slow down in this game. Have you tried lowering your IR? Your GPU might slightly be bottlenecking your system. There are certain points where 4X IR or 3X IR + 8X CSAA or greater causes slowdown (~5 FPS, down to 25).
So is it safe to say that my new laptop which only has Intel HD 4000 graphics won't cut it? Damn shame if not, it's got dual core Ivy Bridge that can turbo up to 3.5ghz.

It's a good CPU. But integrated GPU will probably lower your performance indeed

How am i wrong, have you seen the sales? it hasn't even hit 1 million, this game deserves way more attention then it has gotten.
