The Ether Mines presented my first crash as soon as I entered. Went back in and its not crashing but I am getting a strange graphical error. All through the mines I notice what is black lines. Naturally they move around the screen and most of the time be centered on a character and reaching out towards the edge of the screen while getting wider.
Then I entered the big open area and its a wreck. Walls are in areas they shouldn't be and green or yellow. Textures are missing from the ground exposing what's underneath (glass floors).
On the plus side, not a single sound glitch yet.
I have this same problem
and it's VERY annoying.

The weird thing is, this is my second playthrough. No graphical glitches in the first playthrough at all (many sound ones, though).
Seriously, why it's this happening now? I had absolutely no problem in Ether Mines before. Any painless solution?
English is not my mother language. Excuse my "I, Tarzan, you, Cheetah" mumbo-jumbos
Hi, just wanted to say as far as language goes, you're doing fine, even better than a lot of people whose mother language IS English.
And also I think the phrase you're looking for from the movie is "me Tarzan, you Jane."

I have the same processor, i7-3610qm in my laptop (2.3-3.3 ghz, but 3.1gz due to quad cores), and a 680M GPU. I am able to run Xenoblade Chronicles pretty flawlessly at 4X IR on the HLE hacked version. Only issue is stuttering audio sometimes, but I can live with that. Game looks really good.
Hey, bit late to the party here, but I was wondering if anyone still has the 30FPS patch for a PAL Xenoblade Chronicles .iso as the links in the opening post don't seem to be working anymore. Also the file hosting site for the Xbox 360 button icons seems to want me to register which is a bit of a pain and is bound to lead to an inbox full of spam so if anyone would be willing to re-upload elsewhere that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
What benefit does patching a PAL copy get you?
If your PC does not run Xenoblade full speed 25FPS all the time , 30FPS patch will make the whole game run slower
Higher FPS = smoother gameplay (as long as your PC can handle it)
In your case : E8400 stock speed is not fast enough to handle Xenoblade full speed all the time . So 30FPS patch will ruin your gaming experience
Thanks! I'll stick to 25fps for now then.
I am trying to run Xenoblade at maximum graphical settings ( 4x native Res, 9x SSAA, 16x AF). Most of the times, I could maintain a smooth framerate. However, there are still FPS drop here and there, especially during intense battle scenes.
Here is my system spec:
i5-3570k at 4.0 GHZ
HD 7950 oc'd
windows 8
8 GB of ram
1080p monitor
I am using this version of dolphin with HLE audio hack fix. So not exactly the most recent build

I am also running the HD texture pack :

Anyone with a similar system that can run the game at max? Or is it impossible with current gen GPU?
Thanks
It's impossible, even with something like the GTX Titan. You won't get fullspeed all the time, and certain scenes during battle are probably just too intense. Not to mention you're using HD textures, which increases GPU load (not always a lot, but sometimes it's noticable enough). Those are crazy settings that will need a crazy powerful GPU. Sometime in the future though, we'll get there, but for now 4x IR and 9xSSAA are just too much.

Yeah 9xSSAA with 4xIR is just TOO MUCH.
You know how much resolution that it's pushing with that?
4xIR= (Game internal resolution 4x4. = 2560 x 2112 I think) Then +9xSSAA (Rendering resolution 3x3) so effectively you are trying to render the game at
7680x6336

But the game look so pretty at 4x IR + 9x SSAA.

I don't think Titan is the fastest at the moment. Fastest single GPU maybe. I think the fastest is the HD 7990 or the GTX 690.
