Basically I've got the game and all, downloaded the textures, set them up and configured the emulator in order to run em'(including the 60fps hack).

Everything works good, frames are stable and all, but it seems like I'm having some problems loading ALL of the HD Textures.

Let me give you an example: on the main screen I have the background, the Monado and all HD, but then the Text of "Xenoblade Chronicles" is in low resolution. Same goes for the game when I look out for the map of the city that doesn't load the HQ one but the normal.

It's not that much of a problem, but it's been annoying and I've been trying to fix it with everything I could: changing backend, internal res, accuracy, enabling and disabling prefetch and so.

UPDATE: I just had to get into the last version of Dolphin(not the stable ones) and it seems to load all the textures. Just hopin' I'm not gonna get any weird problems tho because of the experimental version of the emu.

The Dev versions "experimental" just means it is not thoroughly tested. If you encounter any weird problems then see if it happens in 5.0 stable as well. But usually the dev versions are a lot more stable as many bugs are squashed.

Hi everyone,

I am new on this forum and i need some help.

I m playing Xenoblade on Dolphin with HD texture pack + 60 fps patch. Everything was working perfectly during my first 10 hours of gameplay and then came the Mechons Invasion.

Only during this moment (nothing happened during the intro of the game when you play Dunban) each time I fought against a Mechon the fps drops very very slow, like if i was playing in slow motion.
When the fight is over the framerate is back to 60fps normally like always. I can fight any other enemies in the game i have not this problem, i am experiencing this issue only against Mechons but ONLY during the Mechons Invasions after you found the cylinders in the moutain. I tried to change some options like switching to OpenGL i.e but nothing work. Even when i don't load the HD texture pack i have this problem against the Mechons.

Could someone got an idea and could help me ?

I have the last version of Dolphin, windows 10, Nvidia GTX980, intel i7-3770k, 8gb ram and I use a PAL wbfs version

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey everyone.

I've been wondering if there is something wrong on my end as I'm experiencing continuous stutter in this game.
I'm running the latest dev build and using the recommended settings for the game including the audio and ubershaders. My pc consist of a gtx 1080 and i7 7700 so the specs ain't the problem.
The stutter happens about every 1-2 minute or so and the fps drop down to about 9 for like 3 seconds, after that everything turn back to normal.
The question then lies in if i'm doing something wrong configuration wise or something else. Really hard to enjoy the game.

Neither running any fps patch or HD textures.

Thanks in advance.
@Kantu Have you tried to disable cheats in config? Any cheats at all seem to have the potential to cause that. I think.

If anyone has 60fps patch problems, post in the xenoblade 60fps hack thread.
Hi everyone!
Last time I played, I left off at a system save, right at Makna Forest start.
I just tried to load that save, but it won't finish loading. The Makna Forest theme song starts to play, but all I can see is the loading screen with the blade on the lower right corner.

I searched everywhere, but no one appears to be seeing this issue.
I've already tried to switch between OpenGL and D3D11, disabling Fast Depth Calculation and Store EFB Copies to Texture Only.
Dolphin's version is also the latest (5.0-8140).
Other saves load, but I don't have any recent save as I was reusing the same slot.

Can anyone please suggest any possible fixes? I put several hours on this game already and would hate to see it all go to waste...

do you have a backup copy or remember which version of dolphin-emu you start the xenoblade chronicles save?
If you have it try to transfer the whole folder in my case for example:

d:\emulators ssd\dolphin-x64 5.0-6215\user\wii
d:\emulators sdd\dolphin-x64 5.0-8xxx\user\wii

(Also disable V-Sync on Graphic General Tab)

keep a backup folder

At the moment they only way to play the game stable is:
Internal Resolution x3 (1920x1584), Anti-Aliasing: None. (Without 60FPS Patch you can use any Resolution)

HD Texture packs or ON/OFF Doesn't really matters on performance if you have enough ram.
Even if you have a Dual GTX 1080Ti, Increasing Resolution in this game when you are using 60FPS Patch
makes the game kinda awful, audio shuttering graphics shuttering..
-But even without 60FPS Patcher I suggest you to use this settings-

Also Enable: Shader Compilation -> Asynchronous (Ubershaders) ( if you are using latest dolphin-emu ) ( Otherwise use Hybrid Ubershaders )
Disable: V-Sync

If this not works Use CPU Override 115%-125% not higher.

It doesn't make much sense that that would be the only stable way...

It is make sense if you are using the 60FPS Patch game shutters in specific animations on higher resolution than 1080p I'v done plenty of tests & runs.
At least to my build it is not possible to run it stable higher than x3

I think I used the latest stable version to start the save.
The menu bar reads "Dolphin 5.0" and Help -> About doesn't show any version, only the master revision.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. My saves are in My Documents/Dolphin Emulator/GC I believe.
