Sounds like a bad dump. Do you have the possibility to dump that game again?
Apart from that, you could try disabling dual core support.
And I hope you're using an in-game save before that spot, not a save state, right?

Edit: that took a while, but yes, making another dump did indeed fix it! Thanks!

So my system seems like it should be able to run Xenoblade no problem, and it did, for a while. I just met Sharla and Juju and now the game seems to stutter when moving or in cutscenes and especially combat where moves are spammed. I looked into the texture cache issue and I don't believe that's the problem as I've been getting stuttering around the same area even though I've spent a lot of time there and also didn't experience this is Colony 9, etc.

Forgot to add that I am playing with the HD texture pack, on Dolphin 5.0, on 3x Native (1920x1584), and with all other settings set to default.

System:

Windows 10 64 bit
Intel i5-6600k - OC to 4.4 ghz
Powercolor Rx 480 - no OC applied yet
16gb Crucial RAM

Any help would be appreciated and please ask if you need any more information.

30 hours in and it seems to have gone away now.
Totally did not see a thread already existing for Xenoblade. Sorry for the multiple posts.

Hi all. Want to play Xenoblade but all that appears when I load the game is a black screen, no sound, no graphics. I am using Dolphin 5.0 on a gaming laptop. Specs are as follows :

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release.160802-1857)

Graphics card is Nvidia 960M.

Have Googled and tried the solution stated here :
https://www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator/comments/3ofxpx/black_screen_dolphin_doesnt_work_anymore/
but no dice. All other threads are for Dolphin 4.

It may be an issue with my graphics card?

In any case, any help will be appreciated. Also would like to know what settings I can tweak to run Xenoblade as best as I can. I've also downloaded the HD textures pack but I have no idea what to do with it.
Hello everyone, I want ask you why Xenoblade PAL don't work with japanese dub.
Dolphin Crash when I select this option into config menu. With the english dub all work properly without problems.
Thanks.

Try redumping the game. If the dumping program that you're using has a dual layer setting (CleanRip has one), make sure that it's set to dual layer.

Thanks for your help, it was that Big Grin
Do I remember something wrong, or does this game look worse than the last time I played it?

Lightning and/or bloom effects look wrong, like there's some sort of "ghosting" effect around a bright object.
That's the one!

Guess I have to play with an older version then. The cutscene after reaching the Bionis' Interior is nearly unwatchable and Valak Mountain at night has it smeared all over the screen.
