WoW, I did what you said and now I have rock solid 30 fps. thank you.
I think I found some extra dialog for a quest that is unique to a specific character (only happens if you have this member in your active party).
I think I will keep that member in my party forever now.
Location: Alcamoth
NPC: Naroth @ north of the shop on Melfica Road--Northern most water/pond (blue oval on map) 06:00 - 18:00
Quest: A Necessary Upgrade (Available after High Entia Tomb, requires completion of "The Deciphering Machine" quest)
My party was Dunban (me), Reyn and Riki.
Naroth: So, you are the travellers that Ruthan was talking about.
Naroth: Actually, I have a favor I'd like to request of you.
Naroth: You know what I refer to, yes?
Dunban: Could you tell me more?
Reyn: Yeah. What's on your mind?
Naroth: Did you forget?! Did Ruthan not tell you?
Naroth: The deciphering of the ancient texts, remember?
Riki: What bird man talking about?
Riki: Riki forgetted.
Riki: Remind Riki please!
Naroth: Intriguing...
Naroth: You claim to have failed to retain this invaluable knowledge?
Naroth: Could this perhaps be an issue with memory formation?
Naroth: Note to self:
Naroth: Dissection, research and analysis of Nopon subjkect - mandatory.
Riki: D-d-d-d-d-d-dissection?!
Riki: You want make Riki's wifeypon and all Riki's littlepon sad?!
Riki: Riki get mad!
Naroth: What?!
Naroth: An individual of your...nature...has a wife and children?!
Naroth: Intriguing, most intriguing...
Naroth: I could conduct valuable research into Nopon breeding habits...
Naroth: Go; bring your mate and offspring at once!
Riki: Never! No, never! Riki say big 'NO'!
Riki: Change the subject! Or Riki no help you!
Naroth: Well...progress has been made since your help last time.
Naroth: The deciphering machine is now operational, but there is an issue.
Naroth: Its accuracy, you see, leaves something to be desired.
Naroth: At this rate, our research may never truly reach completion.
Naroth: This, we intend to improve our deciphering machine.
Naroth: For this, I'd like you to go and collect some materials for me.
Naroth: Can I cound on you?
<<Insert Quest accept/decline window here>>
Naroth: Thank you for helping!
Naroth: Deciphering the texts will shine much light on our origins.
Naroth: We can look forweard to some great discoveries.
Naroth: I'm Counting on you.
Dunban: Not a problem. Consider it done.
Riki: Now is time for Heropon and Heropon combo!
Dunban: Thank you riki! You are truly an inspiration!
I really hope there is more unique
extra dialog like this.
Just wondering if anyone have fps drops sometimes when opening up the map, skip travelling to a new area etc? I'm running with the HD texture packs provided here and most of the time the game works fine with 30 fps. It's just these dips that happen occasionally which is slightly annoying.
Does anyone have a fix for the Xenoblade freezes? i cant even play the game, everytime i press new game the cutscene shows up i skip it then i see three characters and then freezes.... i also tried saves from a website and i somehow managed to play the game at 28~30 fps though usually froze so i dont think its my specs (even though they're beyond bad)
Specs:
Processor:Intel pentium dual core E6300 2.8ghz
Ram:2GB
Graphics:Intel Q45/43 express chipset
Operating system: Win7 x86
Dolphin im using is 4.0.2 (latest for x86)
I don't get any freezes on Xenoblade, so I think it was fixed through various additions to the emulator over time. Also, 4.0.2 isn't the absolute latest version for x86, but it might as well be. Support for x86 was dropped early on in 4.0's life because it's terrible, so you're pretty much SOL. Luckily for you, Windows keys work for both x86 and x64 versions, so you could install x64 and run the latest dev revision, which will not only almost definitely fix your problem but also give you tons of new features, fixes, and huge speedups.

Guess the only way is to upgrade huh.....been wanting to upgrade to x64 anyway so thanks for the help!
Hi there, I seem to be having trouble with playing Xenoblade Chronicles on dolphin emulator. I have played the Simpsons Hit and Run on dolphin before and it worked perfectly. For some reason when I try open Xenoblade Chronicles it just comes up with a black screen with no music or anything. Even when I click browse and click on the folder with Hit and Run and Xenoblade in it, only Hit and Run comes up. I have dolphin version 4.0-8901. I would be grateful for help on this.
Specs:
Windows 10 x64
Processor/CPU: Intel® Core i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 980TI
Memory/RAM: Gigabyte Technology 16GB
What is the size and MD5 of the ISO? (You can compute the MD5 by right-clicking on the game in Dolphin's game list and going to Properties > Info.)
Hi there, just wanted to share my experience with this game
My pc config is:
Asus n55sf
i7 2630qm @ 2.00 ghz in turbo @ 2.80 ghz
gt 555m
6 Gb of RAM
I was using 4.0 r 9102
-single core
-3x IR 8xAF
-HD Texture
with HLE audio
I was experiencing some random and annoying 1 FPS drop and audio stutter on D3D11 (always) and opengl (only while using HD texture) even with native IR.
Strange thing was both GPU & CPU weren't used at their max during the 1 FPS drops (Gpu 70% and single core CPU used by dolphin ~80%)
i've tried to enable "prefetch custom texture" but 6 gb are too low i guess. The process got aborted at ~4gb multiple times.
Same with dual core. More stutters occurred with or without HD texture and IR set to Native
Solved using Ishiiruka r584 and using now
HD Texture
Single Core
LLE audio
3x IR (opengl) (2.5 on heavy zones)
8x AF
with cpu @70% and gpu 50-90%
only stutters I get is in new area or when some new effect is displayed for the first time
PS: just out of curiosity. Was there something i did wrong on the official version of Dolphin? or is just my system running better on Ishiiruka's one?
I can give you more information about my settings if you need

Hi there, the ISO seems to have 6.7 GB. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "MD5" but the name of the file is "WII - Xenoblade Chronicles (USA).zip".
