I've tried rawdump, but I always get the error "this drive is faulty". That is why I switched to using friidump.
Is your drive on the supported drive list? Maybe it's incompatible.

If you want Rawdump to work, try restarting your PC, connecting the drive, starting Rawdump, and then inserting the disc. Wait at least 5 seconds, then press the dump button. I've found that both Rawdump and Friidump like it if I restart before using them, and sometimes if Friidump crashes, it won't do any more dumping until I restart. I've also gotten faulty drive errors from Rawdump, even though my drive works. The hacks these dumpers use are pretty unstable.

You need to post in the Ishiiruka thread. Only Tino provides support for his custom build.
Attention PAL users, especially those who patched the game to run at 30 fps:

Can you try the build from PR 2520?

https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/2520
https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/pr-2520-dolphin-latest-x64.7z

It should make the game actually start in 60 Hz mode, if PAL60 is selected in Dolphin's settings. Please try it on an unpatched version of the game, the patched version is run in 60 Hz mode regardless of the PAL60 setting.

In my experience, Rawdump does not work on DL discs. The latest/best version I'm aware of is 2.0, there was a 2.1 which supposedly supported DL discs but it didn't work. For DL discs my only success has been with Friidump 0.40.

Also you bring up a good point, only a very select few drives work reliably. The best in my experience are the LG GDR-8160 series (8161-8164). I myself have a GDR-8164B and it's worked flawlessly for me.

I'm currently using a GDR 8084N1.00 as my new drive. I still get no luck with Rawdump and friidump won't work with this new drive. It starts, then crashes immediately. Am I now doing something wrong with friidump? The new drive is the F: so I type in the cmd friidump -d f: -a and it doesn't work QQ.
Did you try the slow modes? Mode 4 is the fastest, but it's also the most likely to crash. Try mode 3 or 2. Mode 1 would probably take like 48 hours to dump the disc, lol. If you're like me, you'll probably have to restart your PC to get Friidump to work again. Once it crashes, I often can't get it to dump anything until I restart, because it instantly crashes every time.

Thanks! I'm trying level 3 right now and it seems to be working...

Success! Now that I have the raw ISO, what should I download? (texture packs, patches,e etc...) I'm new to this stuff.
