Ok so I've gone back a few pages to try and make sure I didn't just skip over it (going through 115 pages seems a little daunting though) In a much older version of dolphin Xenoblade used to run almost flawlessly save from some audio stuttering. It's been a long time since I updated past that and the game barely runs now. My specs haven't changed either.

I only have a couple texture things added like the xbox 360 buttons. nothing intensive. On openGL the game runs at a decent speed but it looks awful. in Direct3D the game looks great but I lose 10 FPS in cutscenes and 5-10 during battles. I've tried finding an optimized set up for the emulator but I keep finding outdated information. I've owned the game for ages and have never been able to beat it and I'd really like to finish it one of these days.

I hope this is what you need.
Ok, the 'hacks' screen is where it's at. Enable "skip EFB Access from CPU", disable XFB, enable Fast Depth Calculation... and EFB Copies to RAM is only needed for those little save game thumbnails. So I'd suggest setting it to Texture, it's muuuuch faster.

Bam! That did it! I get the odd stutter but it doesn't last more than half a second and it totally acceptable. Thanks! I've been trying to get this playable for ages. lol Maybe we could get the wiki updated with the settings for the latest version (with screenshots).
Also the reason OpenGL looks so bad is because you have it set to 1x Internal Resolution, set it it auto or anything higher than 1 to look much better.
It's not needed in the wiki because those are default settings. God knows why you changed 'em Wink
Hi StripTheSoul Smile
Sorry for my English, I'm Italian.
I read your previous posts, where you explained the problem of stuttering. I only have a few questions.
You can see my pc configuration on my profile, so it is not a hardware problem right?
There are differences between the Ishiiruka custom version and the official one?
The option Async Shader Cache Generation completely solve the stuttering?
There are downsides in Ishiiruka custom version?

Thank you Wink
You can just try it. Make a new folder for it. Both, master and ishiiruka will share the user folder, though. So you can just use master or ishiiruka for whatever games they might be better suited than the other.
You won't break anything using Ishiiruka. Your save games won't disappear or anything like that ^^
There are downsides to Ishiiruka, some glitches and instabilities that master doesn't have. But the Async Shader Cache Generation is pure smooth bliss so just try it and see if it works better for you in that game.

Hello guys!

First of all thanks to all the people that contributed to this amazing project! Smile

I'm having an issue with Xenoblade Chronicles on Dolphin (and other games in general). I've already downloaded and put the HD and Ultra HD textures + the 30fps patch (I'm using a PAL version).

I want to know what is the best recommanded graphics configuration to have the games in high settings and stable frameskip (30 fps for Xenoblade Chronicles)

My computer is :
Intel i7 4770k
GeForce GTX 970
16GB Ram
Windows 7 x64

I've putted everything on max stats, and it's having a lot of frame drops and freezes, so I don't know how I can configure this properly.

PS : I'm totaly new to computers, I'm used to be a 100% console players, so sometimes I get easily confused, but I try to learn fast ^^'

Thank you very much for you help! Can't wait to enjoy the game Big Grin
