Vbeam is a hack and there are thoughts of it being removed.

I can't remember why I enabled it in the past.. it's been a long time since I used Dolphin again. (You can tell by the fact that I was last playing on 4.0-146, and now it's at 4.0-3518 already lol. Last I played was probably november 2013.

I think it helped with random freezing or something, or some random speedup when things weren't as smooth yet. Not sure.

Well, yeah, it lets you play some games by a lot faster, like Donkey Kong Country Returns.

my game is lagging pretty bad in battles and when it lags i get horrid audio stuttering. Any settings i should switch on or off?

EDIT: Updated my version, getting occasional sound glitches but running smoothly. I lost my save states though, which sucks.

Who would have thought that when the state of the emulator changes, savestates which rely on the state of the emulator no longer work?

Sorry about the dose of sarcasm, but is this a big misconception or something? Do users rely on savestates that much to not understand the drawbacks of them?

No, I'm just too lazy to save the damn game. Luckily i only lost a half hour of progress so it isnt that terrible. I'm just glad for it not to lag every damn fight.

You can even save anywhere in this game and it takes just a few seconds xD
Well, you learned an important lesson there - at the very least between two versions of Dolphin you should do a normal save

Any ideas on this audio issue Im getting? Should I take a video? It's kind of like the person from earlier in the thread but less frequent.

Is it possible to play the New Game+ on Dolphin? I just finished my first playthrough and it let me save the data onto another file for a second playthrough, but it doesn't load. I attempt to load it and it like disconnects the Emulated wiimote, but when I connect it back, I am taken to the title screen, and it just keeps happening. I think the key thing here is that it says "Reading Disc" then disconnects the wiimote and returns to title screen. Anyone know about this or is my save file corrupted or something? My first playthrough file works fine.

Yes it is. According to your profile you're using 4.0.2; have you tried the latest builds yet?
If all fails upload your savegame and post it here.
