Yes, I can play normally wbps files before I patch them. So I need to get an iso file, well. Thanks!
I don't know if you do. I only know that for me, the patcher could only pick an iso file and patch it, so I had to have Dolphin decompress it first.

Yeah, I have, game runs buttery smooth, I had assumed that due to the fact the fields were so freaking huge, it would run slow, but I get perfect speed on my Core i5 Big Grin The Last Story, on the other hand, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of running, now that is a demanding game! I doubt any config can make the game run well on my CPU, heh. If I could only figure out how to get that to run better...

For Last Story use the latest development version and D3d backend, also overclock a bit. With my 2500k at 4,1 ghz and 560 ti, it runs ok i guess. Just make sure to disable vsync since it will tank your framerate with any small hiccup.

Can't overclock, my CPU is the non-K version, besides, I'm on air cooling with an aftermarket CPU cooler. While the normal 3570 can be OC'd, it's not recommended and I've never OC'd before, so I don't trust myself. I'd need to get a beefier CPU to play the game. Specs are in my signature. I hope that Dolphin doesn't become another Bsnes/Higan and gets so accurate that only the elite gamers with hexadeca core CPUs can run it.

Hay all :-)

Just got here, Xenoblades working practically flawlessly so just curious if theres a way to turn the music down somehow?

Its just to loud over the voice acting which is annoying Undecided

Thx for ya time everyone :-)
Well, everything working. However, there's something that's disturbing me lately with emulators. In every game I play on them, there are some moments when loading zones or different stuff that sound "collide". I mean, the game insta-freeze and the sound insta-collapse when it mix himself with the continuation of the music. It's strange to explain (even more for a spaniard xD), but I hope you understand it. So, is there anything to do with it?
Quote:... the sound insta-collapse when it mix himself with the continuation of the music.

... sounds like some spiritual shit to me Big Grin

What you probably mean is the stutters which are produced by the shader cache and there's not much that can be done about it, and yeah, it's pretty much Dolphin's greatest flaw when playing. (it should be better the second time you play the game (or at least that place in the game), though). The sound gets weird because the audio system Dolphin utilizes nowadays is synchronous which got many issues out of the way, but as soon as Dolphin goes below fullspeed, sound does, too. There's no timestretching feature available at this time, so you're gonna have to live with it for now.
Has anyone noticed some random stuttering in any of the newer dev builds, ~4.0-2925. Dolphin will run fine on my 3570k a 4.3 then will randomly stutter for a second or two then continue fine and do it again, I noticed this on gaur planes.
Probably what I just said above, the shader cache. If you play the same place again now, the stuttering should be gone.
Sometimes, when the developers change something in the shader cache system, it will be regenerated for every game, i.e. you will again have stuttering everywhere the first time around.

Is there a way to improve the view distance of characters etc?

The pop-up of people etc is pretty damned close, especially when compared to say Zelda Twilight Princess so is there a way to change this draw distance? like say, editing an .ini file type fix like I did with Oblivion on the PC?

Cheers for ya time :-)
Haha, no, that doesn't work. The games were not meant to be "tweaked". They were made with the specs of the Wii in mind and what you see is the best the Wii had to offer without sacrificing performance (and I'm actually amazed the Wii could make a game like this work).
Dolphin cannot fiddle around in the game's code.
Maybe a cheat code could do something like this, but I never used those, so I don't know.
