The game keeps on saying the memory card I'm using is different to the one I used before. This only happens if I save more than once in a play through.

I'm using 4.0-7820.

Have you used any savestates?

Yes and when I use them, the game crashes and the music is replaced with static.

Also, I keep on getting invalid read/write from errors, even though dual core is off.

Using savestates in a pokemon GameCube game is dangerous; it has tons of save protections against duping pokemon. Just the time change from using savestates can be enough to mess up the game.

But I stopped using save states and I still get the problems.

But you used them in the past, which may have messed things up

I am having issue that i can't seem to find a fix for where npcs keep fadeing on screen when i get a certain distance away from them or even fade in right in front of me i didn't have this issue when i used this emulator a few years ago does anyone know how to fix this.

I apologize if this has been addressed before or if this isn't the right place to post this, but I'm stuck. I'm at the S.S. Libra, specifically in the room where you find the Bonsly. I know you need to approach it very slowly in order to make it leave the ship and progress the plot, but I can't make the player character move slower. How can I configure the controller or do anything to make the player character move slower to make the Bonsly move?

EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out.

The game crashes every time my Houndoom uses Fire Blast. Has anyone else had a smilar problem?
