Itadakimasu ! (Time to dig in)
Yeah I don't even know where to begin. I'll guess Symphony of the Night will be the very first game I boot up with 1.8.0 Big Grin
YAY, back to FF9, i'm still on disc 4, been playing for almost a year and a half.

Enjoy FF9 Zee. You'll only have one more good Final Fantasy game coming after that.

I guess you're right Smile
I remember when I first got into PSX emulation since it was so easy to get the games (just stick it in your CD Drive, rip it or play directly). ePSXe was the first one I tried with Valkyrie Profile (had the game for years, just beat last December). Haven't tried the shaders yet with the OGL2 plugin. I've still never gotten this emulator to work correctly for Star Ocean 2, it has a ton of sound problems. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, and a native Linux application gets released as well (they stopped at 1.6.0).
A new version of ePSXe? really interesting. I was about to play PS1/PS2 games again. This happens at the right time Smile
I have about 20 PS1 games that I've never looked at as a friend-of-my-mother's child was replacing his PS2 with an XBox 360, so it was decided that I'd be more likely to play them than they would. All I know is that only about 1/3 of the games have the correct cases, as it looks like they lost several over the years.
Yeah PSX emulation have been so easy over the years. Just insert the game disc and either play straight off the disc or rip it directly with a good program.
In a very few cases there have been some problematic games to rip but that's easily circumvented as time goes on.
