Hi first post, I'm having an issue, I've been playing radiant Dawn and it's been working rather well for the most part, but now i'm running into a problem when i try to start up the game. I get stuck at the screen you can see in the file I attached.
Any ideas?
UPDATE: By loading a savestate then resetting through the Wii Home menu i was able to get past this.

Hello first time posting here.
For starters i would really like to thank the dolphin team for making it possible for me to play awesome games. Your work is really appreciated.
Also i hope this is the correct place to ask.
Now, i would like some help with something. As a new dolphin user, i played Path of Radiance with no problems, very satisfactory framerate (near 60fps most of the times, would drop sometimes when i alt tabbed or something, but in general really good).
With Radiant dawn, i experiance considerable framerate, which unfortunately cannot be ignored.
During the game opening and starting cutscene, i get an average of 45 fps , sometimes going up to 50. During the actual levels (map and battle phases) i get 35-45fps, emulator running at around 65-70%. Audio is stuttering too, but i guess this is because of the framerate drop.
I am running dolphin 4.0.2, and the NTSC version of Radiant Dawn.
Well, i know that this is caused by my laptop, which unfortunately is kinda old.
What i want to know, is playing this game at 50+ framerate beyond my computer capabilities?
My specs are:
Windows 7, x64
Intel core i5 CPU, M430 @2.27 GHz
6 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD5165 graphics card
So, is there any hope for me with this laptop, or it's just too old for this game?
***forgot to say i am using the default Dolphin settings, thought im experimenting with some suggestions from the wiki.
Thanks in advance.

Use the newest development build or 5.0 release candidate instead of the old 4.0.2. Your performance will be improved, but I don't know by how much.

Has anyone else noticed the item and button icons look really bad? Check out how jagged the swords look in the texture dump...

Is this a problem with Dolphin or the game?

That is how the game was made, you can try ishiiruka or my texture pack with upscaled textures for the game.

I was going to post a bug report but it looks like this issue has already been noticed
Quote:Dolphin may crash randomly while emulating this game, it's usually stable in menus and the base but when playing a map the game will occasionally crash when:Using LLE does seem to fix it which is very odd since it seems to me like it should be a graphics problem, not a sound problem. The crash happens more often when on fullscreen and when singing to more characters at a time.
Issuing a move or attack order
Mostly only when using a Galdr
Warning: At the Part 3's prologue, after leaving the Base, there is a point where a group of Laguz transform. Dolphin has been known to crash at some point during that scene. To fix the issue, set the Audio to "DSP LLE".

first time posting but just started RD and reached chapter 6. upon leaving the base the game gives me a black screen and the fps drops to 0 with vps showing 60 - 100%. occasionally you can hear what sounds like wind or waves but it remains at this black screen, not loading the map. any ideas whats causing it? currently using Dolphin 4.0.2 x64 you can see my specs in my profile. prior to now the worst i got was a minor hiccup of fps loss for a few moments while moving the cursor quickly across the map. if anyone has any idea how to fix itd be really awesome to finish this game.
just tried to run the game outside of fullscreen and got this message: DX11::TextureCache::Create TextureFailed in Src\ TextureCache.cpp at line 78: create texture of the TextureCache
odd fact is is that this did not show up when fullscreened. any ideas?

Please try the latest development version of Dolphin. If it doesn't work there, go to the Info tab of the game properties and compute the MD5 and post it here.

Also, if it still hangs in the latest development versions, try adjusting the CPU Clock Override in the advanced settings. I've had luck with this game being stupidly sensitive to that, so, if it is hanging 100% of the time, changing that value a bit higher/lower may be able to get around it.
If you could provide me a savegame, I'd be willing to investigate it, this game is just too hard for my tastes.
Note that this offer only counts if you've NEVER used gecko cheats on your save file.
