You likely have a projection hack in your INI files, which is why the null clip is fixing it.

Ok found out that opengl had that issue beforehand and it became d3d issue too after
https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/1346 was merged. Probably if / when is that opengl had working hud is more important since that pr simply made things equal between backends.

You re right, OpenGL have this issue in the build v4.0-3746:
The unifications of api's is the problem here =/

It doesn't matter if you have the same settings or not, you have a projection hack in the INI, and the old version didn't have any clipping at all in D3D. Remove the projection hack and it'll work fine.

Sonic Adventure DX doesn't have any projection hacks in the ini and probably never did.
Then I'm really confused as to how we're getting different results. The game's UI shows up fine for me without any problems.

I'm using Dolphin 4.0 - 6000 after completing the chaos boss I'm then getting the exact same issues I've used both Direct3D and OpenGL and I have problems with both so I tried using Dolphin 4.0 3746 and that's absolutely fine. I hope this gets fixed soon in a future update because it's really bugging me out >.<
