It still does the flickering and I didn't have the game up when I turned XFB on.

Strange one for me...

I started Dolphin 4.0.2 x64 - the first in-game menu I get flickers like hell!

I checked my config, XFB is set to Virtual as recommened but still flickering.

By chance I think I pressed something and the flickering stopped :/

Turns out it was to do with refresh rate. Choosing 60Hz allows the game to perform fine, 50Hz = constant flickering

Problem solved for me; whether the same applies for you - you'll have to see
I'm pretty sure I have my refresh rate at 60Hz anyway.
Yeah, I have it set to 60Hz and it still gets the flickers.
Strange... Maybe a fluke from my side then. What version are you using? I do recall downloading the latest revision and testing. I still got the flickers so went back to 4.0.2 where it then worked after what I said.

Maybe downloading + launching in a newer revision updated the game ini? I aren't sure - it's worth a try though. I'm not certain how I fixed it - it just worked Confused
I have 4.0-2069 x64.

Edit: I downloaded the latest version to make sure, and I still get the flickering.
Seems like it may just be a fluke then - nevertheless, I'll look into it to see if I've done something, inadvertently or not.

Please post a video of your flickering because i can't replicate it here. Also your graphic settings and gameini files.

Sonic Mega Collection (Europe).
Dolphin v4.0-2101.

OGL: Graphics missing & broken, unplayable.
D3D: Starts with flickering but in 60Hz is fixed, playable.

Salu2 - Darkenss Knight
BTW, I'm playing the NTSC version. Maybe that's why I still get the flickers.
