Guys, I'm having a problem right at the start of the game -- just after I beat Antonio, in the dream sequence, the game just... goes to crap. FPS drops to like 2-3, sound is all crackly and weird, and the game doesn't recover from that. Everything's fine until the dream sequence starts.

I've tried the main 3.5 download on the main page, I've tried a couple dev versions, x64 and x86, with and without messing with graphics and sound and I always get the same thing.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Hello!

First, thanks for this topic. I have solved the black scenes problems without ask anyone, but now I have a problem that is not report here.

Many times, during a battle, the games stops (not freeze, sound and movements continues, but not advances) when I make or recieve an attack, in the moment that appears the damage number. The number don't disappear and the next turn never starts, so altought the game not freezes, I must to restart it. Sometimes I have the problem in the battle victory secuence too.

My computer is new, and the game runs full and correctly in all other aspects.

Can you help me please?

Thanks!
@Aria - I only encountered that issue once (right after I beat the boss for the Purple Moon Stone no less) but switching to an earlier or newer revision seemed to help. It doesn't look like you're using the builds from new website; download them here: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

You can try using the official 3.5 release, however, while sound on HLE audio is good, it won't sound as good as in 3.5-77 or above. You should also try the latest revision as well. Like I said, I only had the same problem once; the rest of the game played without issue.

I was using the latest revision 3.5-367 I have return to a estable version from your link and the problem seems to be solved Big Grin I want to play a little more cause, like I said before, the issue appears some times aleatory but I think its solved Smile

Thanks you!
If there is an issue in the latest dev build that is not there in the latest stable build, please report it so it can be fixed for future stable releases. http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/list

Are there any reported issues with having a framerate drop in dialogue sections and some overworld parts? Specifically, as soon as you get to Pirate's Isle and Vyse, Aika and Fina are talking and get called up to meet Dyne, I had about 21-24 FPS while they were talking, but oddly enough, as soon as I gained character control, the framerate jumped back up to 30. Battles work fine, and I've only seen some slowdown in a couple of places (nothing gamebreaking by any means though).

Dolphin 3.5 stable and HLE audio for clarification.
When I played the very beginning of the game, LLE audio was still required, but even with LLE audio, I didn't get those kinds of drops. Some of the later non-overworld cutscenes and dialogs dropped temporarily to 24~26 even on HLE audio, but it seemed random and infrequent at best. For you, it probably won't happen a lot later in the game, so I wouldn't worry about it.

That's fine by me. As long as it's not a standard and recurring theme, then I'm okay. Smile

I didn't really notice anything wrong with not using LLE though on Alfonso's ship, but it HAS been a while since I've ran through this game. Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever tried LLE on SoA to begin with. Confused
Hi,
my game just keeps freezing at random times (0 FPS 60 VPS 100% Speed but no error message etc.). I've tried 3.5 and several newer revisions (always with default config) but nothing seems to work. Any Advice?
