I can safely say that aside from the framerate getting a little choppy in a couple places, and some occasional clicking in the sound, it works great! Got 6 30-minute episodes recorded so far with no hiccups. I also got the latest version of Fraps which apparently plays nicer with DX11...

The only thing I can really suggest is to use Direct 3D in the graphics settings, if you're not already. I tried with OpenGL and it was unplayably slow, but Direct3D on the latest dev build gets me 50FPS.

If you have an nVidia card, try going into the nVidia Control Panel and in "Manage 3D settings", change Power Management Mode setting to "Prefer maximum performance". I know that setting fixed a slow down issue I had in an early cutscene in the game.

I know this was asked nearly 2 months ago, but this is why I think there is no texture packs. Even I considered to attempt to do some textures for this game because I loved it. Until I found this:

Same texture, different hashes. This makes up a significant part of the UI, but it seems the texture is combined in memory with a screenshot of when the game is paused (or other trigger) so it is dumped as one big texture. This means the hash is always different, meaning no retexture, meaning lack of motivation to do any other of the game's textures. Similar issue with other games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii and a Resident Evil game (can't remember which one). From my understanding, there is no way to fix it.

I would also like to attempt to retexture a lot of the game, this problem is really lame and makes it pretty pointless.
I tried everything mentioned in the previous thread. Every time I tried to use the DSP LLE recompiler option it says something about copyrights so I have to run the DSP HLE Emulation (fast) one.

4.0 is slow as hell and the sound is super choppy.

2.0 makes all of the textures glitchy and weird as hell, but is able to make it past the flipping opening.

3.0 is fast, sound is good. Problem: It ALWAYS freezes at the opening. I have no idea why either. Really have been wanting to play some SoA after watching part of a hilarious LP of it (TheStrawhatNo)
Are you using 4.0.2 or the latest development build? You can safely ignore the DSP LLE message, it will work perfectly fine. You just don't have the actual DSP files, just a legal to distribute replica.
I was using the latest development build. Ill try this 4.0.2 to see what's up. Its funny cause 3.0 runs fine for the first few seconds of the opening. Then the opening freezes and the audio loops.
Also with the copyright message it literally wouldn't let me run the emulator unless I changed it from LLE to HLE
