Hahaha, I get it! It's because pirates used to sail as well, right?
*caugh*... anyway, maybe the auto IR issue is only for him because he has another native resolution monitor? Or doesn't that change anything?

Attached is a screenshot of my GL settings. I haven't changed much aside from IR/AA/AF. Maybe it's a Windows vs Linux thing?

1080p monitor, actually. Don't think that would make too much of a difference.
Is this game more demanding than xenoblade chronicles? I just passed xenoblade, and decided to load up skies of arcadia, and it's very choppy. It goes through periods of smoothness, and then hits 15fps for no reason for long periods of time. I played xenoblade at near full settings at 3-4x resolution at 30fps at 99% of the time.
I'm on a new 15" macbook pro, newest osx version of dolphin. If this is normal, I'll just skip it and play something else. Would hate to waste my time trying to fix this if it's really just a demanding game.
Now that I got further into the game, the item menu started to flicker with random letters, like in the screenshot the tester Adambean provided.
It's fixed when disabling dual core, but it isn't worth it because of the speed down and some funny stuff like Vyse renamed to "poos" or "byee" xD
@daudi well it's kind of hard to help you when you list your cpu as "macbook pro"
Hiya. I'm getting the standard 'Cutscene Slowdown" thing. I actually turned off sound, and it helped a little. DX9, HLE. Any ideas? (Other settings seem to make it worse)

Use the latest dev version instead of 4.0.2.
Found some Widescreen AR Fix codes while browsing the PCSX2 forums:
Original Aspect Widescreen, it's just like using the widescreen hack in dolphin without the culling issues looks a bit stretched compared to the PAL version so you probably don't want to use this.

Fixed Aspect Widescreen, looks better to me seems like the NTSC version is a bit stretched in Dolphin and probably on the real console as well even in the original 4:3 aspect, anyway this fixes it in widescreen.

only works with the ntsc version credit goes to sergx12

There isn't a PS2 version of Skies of Arcadia...Technically, Legends WAS going to be ported to PS2 and PC, but since it sold just as badly on GCN as it did on DC, plans for other systems were put to a halt.
