I don't know what the problem I'm having is, but the best I can get is a reduction to 50% as soon as the first Valuan ship shows up in the opening cutscene, and it never recovers. Any ideas on how to get this running?
Computer specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
AMD FX-6100 6-core 3.3GHz
AMD Radeon 7870 HD x2 in Crossfirex
16Gb DDR3 RAM
Dolphin 4.0.1 x64
I have a really odd issue with this game using the latest dev build w/ openGL. On the inventory screen, using an item to heal a character doesn't show you which character you want to heal. But with magic, it asks you which character you want to use it on. Has anyone else got this issue?
Tried this game a while ago to no avail, so I thought I'd try again now that 4.0 is out. Graphics seem to be running fine, but as soon as the intro zooms into the ship with Alfonso standing there, the FPS drops and the audio starts to stutter. I'm not sure whether the audio is causing the FPS to drop or vice versa. I can only assume my rig isn't suited to run the game?
Specs are:
Windows 7 x86
AMD FX-8320 Quad Core
AMD Radeon HD7870
8GB RAM
Dolphin 4.0.1 x86
Left all configs to default.
It's your computer + using x86. x64 is much faster. In dolphin 4.0 and forward, if the game slows down, the audio will stutter in 99% of the games. This is proper emulation. the AMD FX chips are very slow per core, which is why a modern processor like that doesn't get solid full speed.
Okay, I'll give x64 a go and see what happens. Thanks.
Wait, so the AMD FX is actually slower than its precursor, the Phenom II?
Hey, been playing the game for a bit and this recently cropped up. I go to use a healing item on someone, and several of the character's names and HP stats start glitching out with what seems to be part of the item's description. This does not occur when selecting magic. Here's a screenshot of what I experienced.

@Nemorac - Seems similar to something drhycodan noticed (see his post above). Are you using the revision stated in your profile? I'll have a look at 4.0 and see if anything turns up. It may be a recent regression, in which case an issue report should be filed (and the wiki will have to be edited, just when this game reached "Perfect" status

)
@Shonumi Yeah, I'm using the build I stated in my profile. I had also been seeing occasional brown or black screens during cutscenes, but I don't recall which revision I had been using when that happened..I've started updating my revision every couple of days.
