Actually, what makes the game crash is vsync.  Dual core only makes it reset, at least for me, and only once very early after launching the game.  I am able to play in dual core for extended periods without problems after the initial crash.

Make sure you have dolphin's vsync disabled.  You can still avoid screen tear if using Windows Aero Theme (or any that supports Windows Desktop Management or DWM).  Also, use the latest build.

I don't think a lot of people have caught up to this.

GX runs fine in singleplayer with dual core and synchronize gpu on (with the exclusion of grand prix framedropping when a lot of cars onscreen, and, of course, sandocean's shenanigans), but in multiplayer netplay, even when i start up the game with nobody in my lobby but me, the game will do one of a few things :

> If a memory card is not plugged in, the game will flicker through the ninendo-sega/Av logos infinitely, with the frame-rate in the thousands
> if a memory card is plugged in, the same thing will happen, but it will also flicker to the "Accessing Memory Card.." window, and then the game will crash with this message :

it will then switch to this message:

I've gotten these results with turning off dual core, along with the GPU thread setting, and nothing seems to work. It runs fine in Singleplayer, again. I'm lost on how to fix this.

edit: Also tried in versions 4.0-6213 and 4.0-6266. Same results.
Synchronize gpu thread is causing stutters every few seconds, game runs at 100% between them. If i uncheck it its 100% speed all the time so far. Should I just play without it or is there something im missing ?
Single core will work with F-Zero GX on netplay, just tried it here.

Synchronize GPU thread will stutter whenever there's a shader(s) that would take more than 17ms to generate. With syncGPU off, there's a good chance the game will outright crash/freeze.
So how are things going these days in the land of F-Zero GX and Dolphin? I'm assuming the game is running at full speed for most of you guys at this point? How many of you are running with the Oculus Rift?

Haven't played the game in just under 3 years so hoping to hop back in once my force feedback direct drive wheel arrives next month or so. Getting excited. I miss the game dearly. Big Grin

Oh and shout out to SkidAU. My main Aussie on the trigger Cool

Hello People,

long time lurker here,
i have an issue with F-Zero GX, when i load a Savestate with F1 which i saved with Shift + F1 the shadows under the Cars disappear.
Is there some fix or workaround for this problem? Would really like to know.
I'm using the newest build of dolphin but tried other with no luck.

Try enabling efb to ram.

Where? i only see External Frame Buffer to virtual and real.
Edit: nvm found it "store efb to texture only"

ok works, many thanks Link_to-the_past

Disable store efb copies to texture.
Hey guys. This is probably old news but there is a graphics glitch with the textures on the Big Blue track. It's the first track of the Sapphira league.

I've attached a video for you to see.
