I have the latest version of Dolphin (4.0-3514) and every few seconds I get errors. The game still works when I close the crash windows, but literally every 8 seconds, crash messages come up.
I don't have MMU Speedhack on, but I do have Synchronize GPU Thread on.
BTW, I always start the Space Oval race at the side and outside of it, so I just get retired as soon as the race starts.
...the game requires MMU speedhack to run at all.

I still get the same problems with MMU Speedhack on.
If MMU speedhack isn't activating, you may want to check for any cheats, download a fresh version of the emulator, etc. I had the INI file malfunction before which caused MMU speedhack to fail, which caused instant retirement on tracks.
This game should not require MMU speedhack, it doesn't use the memory ranges that the speedhack covers. It requires full MMU instead.
tueidj: I know what you've been saying, but Dolphin disagrees. It plays fine with the MMU Speedhack. Unless something changed recently...

There don't seem to be any cheat fixes that I can find. I have quite a few cheats listed in the .ini, but I don't see how that would be a problem, especially since I only have one activated.
So is the game just unplayable? I couldn't find the fake version.
It works fine here, you broke something on your end in all likelihood.
The speedhack does work; if you want to file a bug report for it, please do, I'd be interested in seeing wtf is going on anyway.
Without Speedhack = Broken Camera, Cars instantly despawn
With Speedhack = Everything works
With Full MMU = Everything works.
No noticeable difference between using the Speedhack and FullMMU except the speed of emulation.
