breed808: Try using the DC-netplay branch's latest builds and seeing if vsync works in dualcore there; thanks. https://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/dc-netplay/1/

Thanks for the help JMC47.
After a couple of hours, I haven't experienced any crashes so far with the DC-netplay branch. I did notice a considerable performance drop in comparison to the master branch.

Hello, I'm here because I just got a new gaming PC, but Dolphin will not run this game at all on it. No matter what I pick, it gets to loading the save file and then the entire emulator crashes (the only thing I can do it shut it down completely). I don't know why this is isn't working. V-Sync is off, and my computer has an i5-3350P and a GTX760. My dad's laptop with a crappy APU from AMD could run this game at 20-40FPS and I'm MAGNITUDES more popular than that piece of crap.
This is really frustrating. I already tried to a new dump so it's not that. I even tried a completely different game but that crashed too--this might be a problem with my computer in general...
EDIT: Nevermind. All I had to do was reinstall Dolphin. I knew copying the folder from my old PC was not a good idea...

I noticed that when enabling "VBeam speed hack" in D3D mode, the framerate improves A LOT. With the hack enabled, the game is really smooth on my systeem. Downside is; the music is twice as fast..
I can't remedy this by turning on the "audio sync" or force the game to 60fps with the framelimit options.
Also, the different DSP modes don't resolve the issue.
But it's funny & weird right? Because the Vbeam speed hack seems to do something right for F-Zero.. except for that damn 2x music it's pretty much perfect with it.

It's a hack; there's not really much else to say about it. There will be adverse effects in most games. It is interesting that it speeds it up, but I'm not sure it means anything beyond where the bottleneck in this game is. Someone smarter than me would need to take a look.

That sounds like a challenge..
Anyone up for that?05-23-2014, 02:39 AM
Does anyone know what graphic settings I need to use to fix the Rain Drop effect on Lightning tracks? I am using Build 4.0-1624 or newer. I can't seem to get the rain to work correctly. I am using DirectX on Windows 7 SP1 x64

Use openGL instead of D3D. And you could've known this; it's on the wiki.
