can som1 give me an optimal config so i can get this thing to work... id really appreciate it.
iv got updated version of dolphin but at the start of a race its slow and the sound is crippled i cant figure out what to do to fix it
Use the latest development version and DSP HLE. I should be ok with those settings, except for sand ocean of course. Since you are using an Nvidia GPU use OpenGL and make sure Vertex Streaming is on.
i tried what u said and it crashes instantly with dual core mode on every time and with it off i get this error: backpatch currently only supporting reads attempted to write 82001ca0 and 223d0cc8
wunderbars, to fix the error, in the game list, right click and select properties. In the window that appears, check the MMU Speed Hack option. Close the window and then start the game.
iv done these the games sound still is crackly and a bit slow... also the shadows are broken again

Hello, i need help with this game, it runs fine but it alwasy crash at the 5th race in grand prix ruby, forcing me to redoo the first 4 races. On the other hand when i tried the race in practice mode it did not crash, i only tried the first grand prix.
Do you have sync GPU thread enabled in the .ini?
Marma: Under the latest version the reset may happen since Dual Core mode is allowed (sync GPU is off, it used to be forced). Resets are generally random so just try again and you should be fine. Otherwise, you can disable Dual Core mode to prevent the reset from happening at all. Don't use Sync GPU, it's slower than Single Core mode, so you might as well just use Single Core at that point.

I thought the whole point of it was that it is faster than single core, why else would it even exist?
In F-Zero GX, with Sync GPU whenever you neared the 60 fps barrier, the game would stutter and slowdown to the point where it'd be unplayable. It wasn't a consistent slowdown, and you'd often speedup/slowdown further than single core mode.

Sync GPU just isn't a good fit for F-Zero GX, and thus needed to be removed. You get a more pleasant experience using Dualcore and Single core.

Edit: Also, on certain video cards this game tends to crash. Try using a different video back-end if you're getting that. With my GTX 470, game ran fine. GTX 280 it usually crashed first race, and now with my GTX 760, it never crashes again. Go figure.
