Yes but this won't be enough for most games.

As cluthz suggested it you can try to overclock. It will certainly help you in a lot of other games

OK thanks.
I tested this game today and it worked like charm, even the videos.

Might be an odd question, but does anyone have any game saves from later in the game? particularly ones with windward steppes / southern expanse? - many thanks

I need technical support.

I am able to play the game fine, went through 2/3 of the first region (Norgath), but when I attempt to play in the city of Roanor in Norgath (in the Fen) when I get to the gladiator placement screen the buttons stop working....

I have little to no lag, games runs great until I get to Roanor. All my settings are as suggested and I have not had a freeze yet.

I have tried an ISO and the game disk in the drive to rule out one or the other.

Has anyone else ever had this issue? In a particular arena the buttons stop working for no reason?

Let me know what I can do to progress beyond the first two towns.

thanks,
What version of Dolphin were you using?

I'm using 4.0 4577 and I was able to play with basic settings, however the game froze in my first practice battle. I've tried with dual core on and off, but it's been really slow and freezing.

Does anyone have the best settings for this game?

I have an i7 3770 3.4ghz w/ 16gb RAM x64
Nvidia GTX 560ti

I had the same issue with the game freezing during battles. I updated the graphics driver and installed the DirectX Runtime from Microsoft. I also made sure that the Dual-core is unchecked. After this, I got the game to run.

The funny thing is that I only had this issue with a newer version of Dolphin 4.0-6025. I could run with dual-core on version 4.0.2 but the battles would be slow and audio would stutter. Gladius runs smoother on 4.0-6025.
You could try dualcore with the sync GPU option on, I tested with that and was unable to get it to hang.

Hi all,

I've run into a blocking bug in this game and am hoping someone can help. This was a favorite childhood game of mine and I was having a blast replaying, and I'd hate to have to shelve it unfinished.

In the fourth region(Southern Expanse), I find that the cutscene with Gwazi never triggers after beating the tournament at Qaa Rah. Furthermore, the regional championship does not appear "unlocked" on the goals screen even after completing all the goals for the region(finishing with the Qaa Rah tournament). As best I can tell, this means I can't progress any further in the story in order to finish the game. The game has run just fine up until this point(some speed issues, sitting around 80% in some battles, because the game still seems incompatible with dual core).

I've tried everything I can think of. I tried all the 'compatibility' related options I could find in Dolphin with no luck. Tried beating the Qaa Rah tournament before finishing the other goals, no luck. I tried it in the latest(as of evening yesterday, 05/05/2016) Dolphin build and also in old builds(unfortunately the moderately old builds won't run it and the really old builds will run it but aren't compatible with the Memory Card file from the latest versions).

I'm hoping I missed something, maybe a setting somewhere or anything. I'm somewhat desperate to finish this game out, and would very much appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

edit: I got it running in 3.5-644 and was able to access my saves from 4.0. unfortunately, it still didn't work.
