It is. In 25fps games cutscenes or intro/menus may reach 50fps. In 30fps games they can rech 60fps. MGS isn't an exception

Thats really silly. Ever since I finished it on 2.0 I never touched it thinking it's bug that'd be resolved in the future. I wonder what would happen if it was possible to override the FPS cap.
Also are there any recommended settings for the sound? It sound fairly low quality to me.
Heya, guys. I'm new to the emulator game and Twin Snakes is my first real go with Dolphin. It looks wonderful, though I was experiencing a (fairly common) issue where the sound would cut out for a split second every few moments. I tinkered with the audio settings, and found that setting the Framelimit setting to 'Audio' eliminated the sound cut-outs. That said, it also significantly sped up the audio. I tried the 'Limit by FPS' option but got no results. At the moment, I'm stuck with either wickedly fast audio or frequent drop-outs. Any tips? I've played around a bit, but my current settings are the DSP LLE Recompiler and OpenAL with a 14 latency.
My current system, for what it's worth:
Windows 8 x64
Intel i5 2550K Processor @ 4.6 Ghz
EVGA GTX 670 4GB
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz RAM
Dolphin 3.5-367
Change the latency to 1 or 2. Don't use Limit by FPS and use Auto framelimit.
Maybe use a newer development version of Dolphin too, from the Download link at the top of this page.
Thanks. Changing the latency nailed it.
I'd like to point out that the game itself looks amazing. Dolphin devs should feel great. I got MGS2 up and running on a PS2 emulator and the Dolphin output looks considerably better.
Ok my problem is that Dolphins 3.5 and any of the dev's versions . Don't play very well the FPS and the VPS is ok . I guess but the game speed will go as low as 50% to 70% . But dolphin 3.0 plays the game perfect but the annoying triggers scrolling the items is kinda glitchy . So any help on making it play better would help big time .
My specs are this .
Cpu: AMD FX 6120 6 core 3.50 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7450 1 GB
RAM: 10 GB
OS: Windows 8 x64 bit
when I press down+left arrow keys or up+right snake walks. does anybody know how to fix this?
EDIT: Problem seems to be resolved. I downloaded Dolphin 3.0 and Twin Snakes seems to be running at full speed now. The audio is a little glitchy but I'll try some different sound settings. I guess the problem was I was using the 3.5-367 revision, which apparently doesn't like TS.

Or your CPU doesn't like recent builds
