I'm having a lot of trouble getting past Ocelot's torture sequence. I'm using the Nintendo Switch Gamecube Controller but for whatever reason Ocelot detects it as an autofire controller and he keeps killing me and not letting me past.

Ive tried using both Xbox and MNKB controls but no matter how fast I mash it gets detected as Autofire

Does anyone know a way to solve this?
What version of dolphin are you using? What are your controller settings.

This was a frustrating scene to pass. I might have used an auto hotkey script in the end. Also try lowering the speed of emulation so the game thinks you are mashing faster than you are. This might have been the ahk script I used. You'll have to swap over to an emulated controller for the script to work. The script auto-fires the spacebar.

Code:
#MaxHotkeysPerInterval 10000000

macro_on := 0

Space::
    macro_on := !macro_on
    if (macro_on){
        SetTimer, HitA, 2
        SetTimer, HitB, 2
        Gosub, HitA
        Gosub, HitB
    } else {
        SetTimer, HitA, Off
        SetTimer, HitB, Off
    }
    return

HitA:
    Send {Space}
    return

HitB:
    Send {Space}
    return

Have you tested it on an official version of Dolphin? We should rule out the possibility that Faster Melee's SI polling timing hack isn't causing the game to think all controllers are turbo controllers.
Not sure if this was mentioned before, but MSAA/SSAA breaks shadows in Vulkan, OpenGL and D3D12

Broken
Vulkan AA

OpenGL AA
https://i.imgur.com/wRRQQL3.png
D3D12 AA

Vulkan and D3D12 seem to be broken in same way, but OpenGL spills over the shadow everywhere

Working
D3D11 AA

No AA

D3D11 with AA and No AA in any render is fine.

Hi everyone. I'm playing Metal Gear Solid but I found two problems. My spec:

Cpu: Intel i5 4670k
Hard disk: Ssd Samsung 840 pro
Ram: 8gb Corsair
Nvidia Geforce 1080 Ti
Windows 10
Dolphin version 5.0-12247 -x64
Direct 3d 11 - Asyncronous Ubershader and Gecko patch 16:9

1) first problem is when liquid and Ocelot talk each other in the room of three codes (near the end of game). I have segments to become out of sync. (i don't have patch 60 hz)[/font][/color]

2) I encountered aside from codec screen was some frame drop during the live action FMV leading up to the Liquid fight.

Do you know if there is some solutions?  Thanks

Hi, I am new here but not with the MGS franchise. As an avid fan, this is the only version I haven’t played / finished yet hence I downloaded and installed the latest version of Dolphin emulator on my laptop. Surprisingly it works pretty well despite my so-so specs, with no issues at all. I’m already on disk 2, so far I haven’t encountered most of the issues I’ve read here. (Except the bluish codec background which was fixed by disabling some options in the setting mentioned here.)

My only concern (not actually a game breaker) is that whenever I use the controller’s left analog stick to move diagonally, Snake would go into “walk” mode. I have tried calibrating, playing around with the pad .ini files to no avail. I can run on all directions just fine using the D-pad but just wondering if someone already has a work around for this. (I am using an iPega Pro controller which works on other emulator/games just fine).
