Thanks! I get no suttering anymore. It stopped completely after i got up to the heliport and ran around for a bit. im on d3d11 using async ubershaders.
I've been having the slowdown issue when guards are alerted as well. I've got a i7 8700k, gtx 1070 slightly over locked, and 16gb ram. I've tried Vulkan, opengl, and Direct3D 11, as well as all 4 shader compilation settings with compile shavers before starting enabled. When I'm not in combat I can get easily 160fps, yet as soon as I'm detected I get momentary slowdowns of down to 20 to 40ish fps almost every time a shot is fired (though interestingly not every time), and it will usually stutter and even crash if the fight lasts more than a few seconds. I'm using the auto updated monthly build. I've been playing F Zero Gx and Mario Galaxy 2 with no issues other than the very occasional 2-3 second hitch

Can you post your settings on Graphics -> Tab (Hack)
Tried all those settings, getting the same performance. Has this not been an issue with this game for anyone else?
Update: So I tried running the game in Ishiiruka (v777 Stable) with the same settings (I'm pretty sure they were all the same, slightly different menu) and I had no issues whatsoever.

I have test the game on Latest Dolphin-Emu Master version.. Has no issue for me, but we run different PC build so I cannot tell you whats going on..
I'm also mostly using Ishiiruka-1075 which run almost perfect every game I use to play.., also Metal Gear Solid..
I cannot help you further.. If unofficial Ishiiruka Build run the game with no issue stick with this for the moment,
But I suggest you to download the latest build..
The answer to why Ishiiruka doesn't have the issue is because Ishiiruka doesn't enable MMU emulation for games. You can disable MMU emulation and that'll clear up the issue.

I though MMU Emulation make games more compatible & faster, so some titles need MMU Disable?

MMU is actually quite taxing (hello SW:RS2 and RS3).
But yeah, most games can get away with MMU disabled.
According to the wiki page, this game doesn´t need MMU so I guess you can disable it.
