The disc changing should be pretty much the same (unless you've created a savestate within a second of changing the disc, but people generally don't do that). But yes, the latest development version is worth a try.
Hey, the PAL version of the game has some notorious bugs in the cutscenes, i use the 60fps hack and the game runs perfectly at that fps at max 8x native res (using an i7 3770k oced to 4.6ghz, gtx 980 ti, win 10 pro x64, 8gb ram, 500gb ssd) but the cutscenes are a different story, i've tried the last stable version, the last development version (6081), another recent dev ver (5643) and even the last Ishiiruka version and all of them suffer from problems in the cutscenes, in the last dev version the screen turns purple and you cannot see anything and also the codec turns blue instead of green.
In all the other versions the audio is not synced with the image at all (i'm willing to bet that this happens in the last dev ver too, i just couldn't check it because of the purple screen), and the video is also very choppy freezing for 1 second or milliseconds now and then. I've tried all the audio backends (even playing with the latency) and DSP engines to no avail. Seems this problem only affects the PAL version, would appreciate if you guys could take a look and maybe fix it. Thanks in advance!
Hi. Is there a confirmed working code for Widescreen mode on a NTSC-U release?
I've read the wiki page and there's a "Gecko code" listed for it, but it doesn't work for me, and AFAIU, Gecko codes are for Wii only. I've tried adding it both as a Gecko code and an AR code. I've confirmed that the other AR codes work (I can get Infinity Oxygen and Body Armor).
Aspect Ratio is set to "Force 16:9", and the image takes up my whole display but stays obviously stretched from 4:3.
Interestingly, enabling "Widescreen hack" (and keeping Widescreen AR code from wiki disabled since it has no effect anyway) fixes the aspect ratio, but I'm afraid it'll break something in the future.
Thanks.

Hi, the Ar codes on the wiki worked (had to install them as Ar, not Gecko) for me in the PAL version, make sure after installing the code in the the game properties (and check it's box) to have the "Enable Cheats" box on the Dolphin's general tab checked, you also need to disable the Widescreen hack and force the aspect ratio to 16:9, and it should work.

Yup, I will try PAL if there's no way to make NTSC run in proper widescreen, but I'd rather not since there's something wrong with the PAL widescreen cutscenes if wiki is to be believed. I've enabled the cheats, so I'm sure the AR codes work in general, it's just the Widescreen one might be wrong.
I've tried playing with "Widescreen hack" and it mangles the cutscenes a bit, but it's not that bad really.
So i've managed to fix the audio on cutscenes, i tried the last dev version again and surprisingly this time the purple screen did not appear for a while so i was able to watch the actual cutscenes and test DSP LLE Recompiler and it solved it, now the game runs at 50fps instead of 60 like if the 60hz patch wasn't working, but that's no biggie. The problems i'm facing now are the purple screen and the blue codec, heard it can be fixed with Hybrid XFB but i don't now how to set it, so i'd appreciate if someone told me the exact steps, like what to enable and what to disable. Also i've had an error pop-up appear on the last cutscene saying something like "it cannot be written here" along with a couple numbers, but it still let me continue with the game so i suppose it wasn't serious.

Disabling "Store XFB Copies to Texture Only" should fix it. (It was possible to fix it before Hybrid XFB too, but back then, the equivalent option limited the output resolution to the resolution of an actual GameCube. The only big downside that remains now that we have Hybrid XFB is that the performance is reduced.)
Alright, i tried it and it has fixed all those problems. The only downside as well as with the Dsp Recompiler is the loss of performance like you mentioned, but despite the loss of 10 fps it's still playable, so i'm happy.
Hi again, i'm getting a game-breaking glitch. I'm already at DVD2 and when i try to save it gives me this error
https://i.imgur.com/DTV1oMs.png and also there's a very annoying and loud interference like sound, can't save and also can't get to to next stage as it won't load and i will get another error pop-up like that one. I'm using experimental version 5.0 6081. I tried saving to try another build but as you see it won't let me, i'd appreciate if you can tell me a way around this as my normal saves are old and not close to where i got into the game and as i understand saving states don't work in other versions of Dolphin. Thanks again!
BTW: I'm already using DSP LLE Recompiler and Hybrid XFB.
NEVERMIND, seems it was using DVD1 instead of 2 when i opened the game from the icon on the Dolphin layout, i started the game by manually selecting DV2 and it let me save and continue to the next stage.
Is there a way i can make the game use DV2 automatically when starting it by the icon or so that i can create an icon with DV2? or i have to manually select it every time like i did? Thanks.

You could use the e- command in a new shortcut.
The Target line, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolphin\Dolphin.exe" -e "c:/path/to/game.iso" (Or where ever you dolphin is placed on your computer)
I myself have a simple questions.
Is it possible to save the ingame settings, like toggle for first person view, so i dont have to set it each time the game is bootet up?
