Invalid Read errors after pressing start.
All I can think of is maybe you have a bad dump of the game? Although if you were able to play the game before, that cannot be the case. Was it playable previously?

Yeah, it worked before (long time ago that I've tried it last, though).

Hm, nevermind, it WAS a bad dump after all. I thought I tried it successfully a few years back but I guess not.

Luigi's Mansion is broken on the Nvidia Shield Android TV version, Dolphin master version 4.0-7947 (android).
It is not a bad dump as it is working with earlier builds of Dolphin, such as dolphin master 4.0-5672 (android).
My problem is, that for some reason, the overlay button hub will not disappear in the older version, yet the game seems to work perfectly, while in the new version, Luigi is missing his head, his flashlight as well as the light coming from said flashlight.
You can still play the game, but only the 'intro', as during your training with the vacuum, as soon as you press 'R', the game freezes (sound effects still continue, though, but that's the only thing).
I will post my settings and a few screens if you guys can't reproduce the issue.

I just updated to the latest version (4.0-8046), problem still occurs.
It is looking rather freaky as his shadow is also missing his head... His head will appear momentarily whenever you engage with stuff, just to 're-disappear'...

I narrowed it down to be being a problem which build 4.0-7379 (21-Aug-2015 09:05) introduces, as build 4.0-7377 (21-Aug-2015 07:52) doesn't have these issues (there seems to be no 4.0-7378 build)
So whatever that build was intended to fix, it had the sad side-effect of killing off Luigi's Mansion on the android.

Here are a few screenshots of what I'm talking about (look at Luigi and the treasure chest):

I don't have this problem in Direct3D mode, but I get more consistent performance with OpenGL so I figured I'd ask.
In case you're wondering, I'm using one of the latest developer builds (4.0-6268 x64) and my specs are as follows:

> 8 GB RAM

Is there a fix for this? A graphics setting, perhaps? It would be nice to get rid of it because it looks rather ugly. If not then it isn't a huge deal, as the game is still obviously playable.Having similar issues to these. I have tried 5.0 and the latest dev build in addition to playing around with various settings.
Here is a screenshot of the glitch:
