I have a question regarding this game's performance. Everything seems perfect except the sound.
My PC isn't strong enough to use LLE, and I can't overclock (old motherboard with limited manual vcore settings that don't match my CPU).
Is the HLE method still being developed, or has it been abandoned completely in favour of LLE?
Is there a chance I may be pleasantly surprised by a fix for HLE sound in a future version or is it something that has been scrapped?
Mario Kart Double Dash uses the Zelda Ucode, so HLE is still kind of bad with it. Delroth was chased off by all the bloody whiners, so uh, it will be a while. You'll have to use LLE for now.

LLE makes the game unplayable. I don't want to come across as whining, I was just curious. I've only just got involved in playing with Dolphin.
Truth be told I'd love to get involved with programming it but I've little to no knowledge of how emulation actually works, or at least not the details.
And I wouldn't know where to start, my area of expertise is Direct3D 11 :>

To use LLE you can try to overclock your CPU. You should be able to reach 3.0GHz (maybe more). It might be enough for this game.

I can't, already tried overclocking. It's unstable. Lowest VCore setting is 1.425, and stock for my CPU is 1.25, so I can't manually increase it sensibly and carefully. I have a very old machine that's had several upgrades since I first built it.
I imagine squeezing a bit more juice out of it would be enough, as it runs at about 80% with LLE. Unfortunately, not an option!
I was trying to establish if it's possible to get perfect emulation using HLE, or if it had reached it's limit. I imagine it's more a case of the development of that part of the emulator having stalled.
Also, worth noting that yesterday I discovered a bug with this game.
Staff ghosts don't work on time trial. Well, they load, but they are certainly not following the track properly.
PS, the dashing bug makes time trial almost unplayable. Drifting round the bends on Luigi circuit and getting thrown into the sand randomly.

Thank you, I was hoping if I mentioned enough on here somebody would point me in the right direction
Here to help, not to whine
There already is an issue created about the dashing bug, please do not create a duplicate.

I haven't, I have added comments to the existing issue of my own experiences.
I've created a new issue about the staff ghosts.
