In recent development builds I am experiencing crashes with this game in certain sections. Does anyone else have this problem? "Dolphin.exe has stopped responding" Usually after a transition of some kind, e.g., dying, end of level, spinning orange star; but only in very specific situations.
To control the ball, select Upright Wiimote from the bottom right hand corner of the config.
done, but with my configuration is unplayable!
i have a strange issue, from one day to another i couldn't collect starbits anymore. I checked the "Skip EFB Access from CPU" option like suggested in the wiki. Then i played around with the graphic settings and discoverd that if i turn the "fast depth calculation" off i was able to collect the starbits again. But as is turned off this option other graphical glitches occurred and the game slowed down several times. I added screenshots that shows the glitch.
I tried different builds and it's all the same issue. I started with build 8807 x64 and tried several newer builds, now i'm at the latest build 8901.
my system:
i5 2500K @ 4,2Ghz
16GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 770
graphic settings:
3x Native
16x AF
2x SSAA
per pixel lighting
force texture filtering
the other settings are default

The skip efb access option should be unchecked, good thing the gameinis handle it automatically unless you open the graphic settings and override the default settings(like you did). Collecting starbits has nothing to do with fast depth.

The option is unchecked, i checked it several times and even checked and unchecked it ingame. I'm only able to collect starbits if i uncheck the fast depth option...
Here is a screen of my graphic settings:

mysteriously it's working again. I only restarted my PC. Maybe it's some issue with Windows?
Thanks for your help!
edit:
i figured out the issue. It's the latest Steam Beta Update with the big picture overlay for the desktop client. If you start up Dolphin with the steam overlay you can't collect starbits, if you start up dolphin without the steam overlay it's working fine. So i think it's up to Valve to fix this issue.
I've been playing this in DX12 mode and there's no problem with Yoshi eating stuff, has this been fixed or it only happens in certain levels?
The Wiki page hasn't been updated for a month so I assume they fixed it cuz I finished two worlds already with no problems.
DX 12 gives the best performance of all three, too bad it only uses two cores of my CPU though:

I also get crashes with the same error message, but so far only when exiting the game. I reported this months ago but I think it's some obscure bug nobody spotted yet.
