That is correct, and I imagine it would be very simple to hack it tho

And do you know how to hack it ? Simply modifying an ini file? which one?

Thanks Wink
Hmm, I can remember if they added the ability to change framrate via .ini, but I was talking about changing the source code
This is a problem that affects everyone or is it just me? (maybe I'm too perfectionist, lol)
It affects everyone.

Hey guys I am having a heck of a time trying to get this game to run for me. It runs perfect until I have to use the sword to attack someone (the music for battle) when the fps drop from 30 to around 15. I am running a xeon w3570 processor (with is the i7 965 extreme that allows ecc ram) overclocked to 4.1 ghz. a nivida gtx 660 ti. I feel I should have more than enough power to run this game. I am running the game with the latest version of dolphin I have tried about every setting that I have read on the forum DSP HLE, DSP LLE ect. still no luck. I did figure out that if I use dolphin 3.5 and run dsp hle it works fine no slow downs. but I have watched other play with the latest version without the problems I am having I would have to say this game is 100% playable until I have any bad guy close then it would be totally unplayable. thanks in advanced for the help
It's probably the LLE audio; Dolphin 4.0 onward forces LLE on. If you want to disable it, right click the game in the Dolphin window, go to game properties, and check (or fill in as blue box) the DSP HLE Emulation box.

Thanks a lot. is my setup to weak to run LLE audio or do I just have some setting to change around?

Your computer is too slow, the processor in particular. LLE is ridiculously hard to run, and people complained when developers started fixing up HLE ucodes, so zelda ucode never gotten taken care of. So, people are stuck with using LLE on zelda-ucode games for good audio.

Right on thanks JMC I appreciate your support. The HLE for wind waker is far from terrible anyways.
