lol, no, besides you can just use the LLE files that come with dolphin
Haha... maybe his friend lives in the same house? X_X

True, except the LLE files that come with Dolphin throw an error about being the ones that came with Dolphin and it bothers me, enough that I got my Wii out of my closet to dump the files Big Grin

Well I learned my lesson. I had to start over from scratch because I used savestates.

So when exactly does the memory card get corrupted when you use savestates? What I plan to do when I get back to the Forsaken Fortress for the second time around is to use a savestate just before the scene with the Helmaroc King, turn on the Fix Item Hang patch, save normally after it goes through, and then turn off the patch and then reload the game.

Would that work, or do I risk having my card corrupted again?
The game will think your save is corrupted if it sees that the save file on the memory card comes from the "future". This can happen under this scenario:

1. Make a save state
2. Play the game for X hours
3. Save the game to the memory card
4. Reload the save state from step 1
5. Save the game to the memory card after playing for less than X hours.

When the game tries to save to the memory card, it will see an existing save game from the future.

Also, saves become corrupted on the real GC system. It is just one of those things that happens. You can try fixing the checksum or exporting and reimporting the GCI file via Dolphin's memory card manager.

I made some savegames before some cutscenes.

1 - Before you get the telescope.
2 - Before rescueing Tetra, you only need to kill 1 Bokoblin.
3 - Before Forsaken Fortress 1 cutscene, you only need to climb the ladder.
4 - Before the cutscene in Windfall.
5 - Before you talk with Birdman at Dragon Roost.
6 - Before you enter Forest Heaven (Sadly this one is a pain in the ass if you don't know how to Wind Waker Dive xD, http://zeldaspeedruns.com/tww/Techniques/wind-waker-dive )

I skip Dragon Roost and went directly to Forest Heaven, I could give you a savegame with the boss key but you would have to traverse half of the dungeon and kill ghoma, but you have something like 10% of chance to stumble with the problem... but is a pain to be honest...
This only happened to me in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th but I added some extras just because I can.

I think the best you can do is use the 3rd over and over again until it happen, you will notice some of the sounds of the cutscene wont play (I think the splash of the water is one of them). You can reset the game using X+B+START.

If I stumble with it a save state will be useful?,what other info can I provide? I would have to do something with Fifo Player isn't it?.

I can make some more savegames further into the game with more cutscenes if needed.
For some reason I'm getting lag whenever I strike an enemy with a sword, and the lag only lasts a split second. It's the only occurrence of lag I'm getting with this game.

I've been having some weird issues with trying to use hi-res texture packs.

Originally, I tried using a smaller pack that only retextured the HUD, Link, and some small elements like clouds. This all worked out fine!

Then, I found and wanted to use a better/bigger pack, that retextured a whole bunch of stuff, and made the game a helluva lot prettier. The only problem is, when I tried to use the new texture pack, it wasn't letting me.

I've since got most of it to work, but there's a few random holdovers that are really annoying that just won't work. Like certain letters... All lowercase letters, and caps R-Z won't work in conversations, but all numbers, punctuation and most caps do? Huh

Everything else seems to be working, for now. The files for the texture pack are all under the same filepath, and all have similar names. I currently have to run the Texture Cache on Safe in order to use this texture pack. The closer to Safe I run it, the more textures show up. I'm curious as to whether there are any special settings I'll need to use to get this to run fully, maybe? I'm new to Dolphin, sure, but I've checked the wiki's, I've played with the settings, I've tried everything to get it running at reasonably high settings with little to no slow-down... But this texture pack stuff is driving me bonkers lol.

Here are my specs, and I am running the "Stable Version" of 3.5, which for me says 3.5-367:

27" iMac - OS X 10.6.8
2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5750

Here is an example of the issue I'm seeing, as well as my current Dolphin settings:

Thanks in advance, and if there is any more info needed, let me know! I'm at a loss as to why these won't work...

If it says 3.5-367 it isn't the stable version. Stable version is 3.5 with nothing behind.
You might wanna try something more recent btw: Download page

That's so weird. I swear I DL'ed it from that page, but after re-downloading the Stable version, it now says just "3.5" when I run it.

It cleared up *most* of the issues I was having, but appears to be running slower. Out of curiosity, what is the general rule-of-thumb for downloading a new version? These versions appear to be updating almost hourly, so I'm having a hard time figuring out which recent version would be most appropriate...

Sorry for my lack of insight, I'm just brand new to Dolphin, and I'm not used to running an emu that actually gets updated regularly! Tongue

Hi, I've been having problems trying to upscale the internal resolution. I find it weird that I'm able to emulate Skyward Sword up scaling to 2.5x internal smoothly, but when I try to do that with Wind Waker it seems to stutter and lag quite often. I get drops to about 25 fps on dragon roost island, and it also doesn't seem to be using my gpu nor cpu fully. I was really hoping to be able to play it at a higher resolution, but it just seems to be not cooperating. I find it strange that my system wouldn't be powerful enough to handle it because I can play other games just fine. Thanks for any help.

NVidia 560m

Dolphin v3.5-1819
Does it do that at 1x?
