Isn't that for new AX-HLE?

The new ROM is supposed to be an improved version of the old one that supported Zelda ucode so I guess it should still be supported.

As far as I know this is still broken.

Hello all,

I'm a bit new here and somewhat new to Dolphin and I've been itching to play Wind Waker for a while. Well half way through Forest Haven I started messing around with the AR codes and apparently I turned on a few cheats that broke the game. Climbing ladders fast works, but will persist even if you turn off the cheat and disable cheats globally. Climbing ledges from any height cheat seems to work in some situations but I suspect it to have broken the mechanic all together. Other cheats I had on, but I don't suspect of breaking the game are "hold A to run/swim/jump faster" "roll further" "instead of rolling you glide".

So I have also seen this issue in this thread and it looked as if turning on "Fix item hang" fixed it, but it did not and only broke the sound (very sad about that). My next approach is to just uninstall and reinstall Dolphin (which apparently fixes the sound).

Here's a video of what I'm talking about http://youtu.be/2ZCN3ec7kCo
The effects of the cheat will persist if you are using save states. Try turning of the cheat function and then loading from the memory card. Hopefully, it will work that way. Sometimes (rarely), the game will save the effect of the cheat to the memory card. In that case, you're SOL.

Thank you skid, saving and loading from memory card worked perfectly. The only down side was having to run back to the room I was stuck on, which was a small price to pay for the chance at the cheats infecting the memory card save.

In any case, cheats will probably not be used again, especially those (since I happened to delete them).

Hi there!

When Link arrives the first time on Dragon Roost Island and the King of Red Lions gives him the "Wind Waker", it is impossible for me to complete this Tutorial.
The first one, where you have to hit 3 directions/buttons works just fine. However the second one is completely broken.
I watched a Video on Youtube of this scene and there need to be 4 squares at the top of the screen but it only shows me 3 so i can't complete the task.
Has anyone ever had such an error ? I tried the European and the American Version no luck in both of them, and of course several different Dolphin versions.

Seems like i wont be playing windwaker again until the HD version will be released Confused

You have to use the analog stick (the one you move with) to change the time signature Link conducts to, then you use the C-stick to play the notes required. When the analog stick is in its normal position, Link conducts to 3/4 time. Holding the analog stick to the left changes the time signature to 4/4 and holding it to the right changes it to 6/4.

Also, you have to remember that using the Wind Waker doesn't exactly work the same was as the Ocarina did in Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. The notes hit automatically on the down-beat as opposed to just whenever you press the button (or, in this case, move the C-stick).

tl;dr Don't touch the analog stick while doing the first section of the tutorial, then when he asks you to play in 4/4 time, hold the analog stick to the left while using the C-stick to change the notes. If I remember correctly he doesn't actually make you play in 6/4 time in the tutorial, he just tells you what to do.

Thanks for the fast reply.
But don't get me wrong i don't have any problems with the controls. I played Wind Waker some time ago and i would play it on my GCN if it wouldn't have broken... well... fell down Confused .
The problem is that the game isn't working right. This is how it should look like [Image: Lo_Zt_WW.jpg] but i only have three squares on the top. The game doesn't recognize that i have given it 4 inputs, which results propably in a non triggered event so the Red Lion King at one point get me to start the scene again and so on. It is, like i said impossible to get past that scene.

You already have the answer. The default is 3/4 time (three squares). Press and hold left on the analog stick stick to change it to 4/4 time (four squares), then press the C stick combination. Simple as that.
I read somewhere there is a patch to fix the pop-in experienced with the widescreen hack. Anyone know it?
