I was just in Forest Haven, when you first met the Deku Tree.
How did you lose it? Were you using save states or you saved only to memory card?
Save states
I didn't know that save states can f*ck up your game. i didn't use them to cheat though, just for saving the game.
Saving to memory card did not work, the game gave me an error of corrupted memory cards and I didn't try anything beyond that.
But can you still load the game through save state? Does the game crashes at certain point or something else?
I can still load it, but it crashes at the exact same part every time. It's just after the deku tree shows you the leaf. Black screen after that.
I've tried every single config. there is with no luck.
Dude you just gotta disable the sound and load the game again, it happened for me few times before. If it works never use save states again.
Maybe if I upload the save state and you guys try?
I managed to get it working. It manages to crash at random times without an error output; just locks into a black screen.
Ok so I've discovered that the Dolphin emulator is capable of using HD textures. Obviously with WW being one of my favorites games I wanted to try it out.
I downloaded the HD textures from the previous Wind Waker thread, and followed the very basic instructions they put down. "Download texture, place unzipped rar file into the place and select load custom texture.
But I don't notice anything different. Can somebody give me a full list of steps required? Or maybe I'm using an incorrect pack.
I'm using Dolphin 3.5 since I prefer solid release versions.
Did you make sure to place them in "User\Load\Textures"? Using the same region as the creator of the texture pack? (not sure if PAL/NTSC-U makes a difference in this game) If you can link to the post you found in the previous thread so we can take a look at the texture pack.

Yes I did place the files in the right place.
As for what I used it was the file downloaded from
here I was brought there from another forum when I found out about HD textures.
Post the full filename of any texture file including its path. It's the only way we can know you actually put stuff in the right place.
computer\local disk (D

\Games\Dolphin 3.5\User\Load\Textures\GZLE01 followed by the textures from the download.
