Disregard this, I just realized it was a completely different (Enable Collete's beta costume) that was crashing the game. Damn me and my beta curositys.
Just wondering if anyone has a magic fix out there....
If you leave False Depth Calculation on the world map fog disappears. If you turn it off the world map fog reappears, but you're completely invisible in battles. Also this one isn't that important, but when you look at the dragon's nest on an actual gamecube, the clouds around it are spinning, but not on Dolphin. Any help would be appreciated since the game looks a bit funny without the world map fog.
Edit: Also I've had toss hammer hit about 15 enemies, but it has never poisoned anything. Am I just that unlucky or is this a known bug?
Out of curiosity, is there any way to reduce the thickness of the black outlines on the characters' models or am I stuck with it?

Not really. No one's come up with an AR code or anything like that. The PC version doesn't really have them, however.
Does anyone else have the issue where the emoticon bubbles in the game appear blank for some reason?
Probably texture cache issue or some kind of cheat you're using. I know that text doesn't render properly on the fast setting sometimes.
Sounds like a texture cache issue:
Quote:Skit and Dialog Textures
When viewing a skit or when characters talk during in-game dialog, certain textures will not accurately update when the Texture Cache is set to Fast. During skits, character icons may not appear to be talking (mouths won't move). During in-game dialog, the mouth textures may not change when a character speaks. Setting the Texture Cache slider to Position 2 (Middle) resolves this issue. It is set by default in the GameINI, however opening the graphics configuration during play may cause the problem to reappear
Did you mess with the game ini?
Hello,
I'm currently using this patch and it itself works fine. However when i try to fo the Widescreen hack or to do it manually it doesn't load things correctly. Example is, in Iselia there are some black spaces where the area just does not load near the edge of the map. Is there any way to correct this?
Best regards,
Phlynn Starwind
The black areas are caused by incomplete modeling by the game developers.
So iow to play this in widescreen there is no way to crop it so it does not show.
