Hi everyone, i'm looking for a little bit of help here regarding a bug i went through in Tales of.
So i was in the Hima Inn and attempted to save. The savepoint here is pretty close to a door (unfortunately i don't have any clear screenshot of it). I don't exactly know why but right after exiting the save menu, i opened that door and got on the next room. At that time, i could move like usual and nothing felt wrong. But today when i loaded this save, i found myself stuck on the wall at the left of the first room, as you can see on the screenshot here. I can talk to the man and have a night at the inn, but after that, i would still be stuck on the wall.
So is there a way to correct this? or is my save doomed? Thanks for your help anyway

Wow that's a first. You're using build 4.0.1 as stated in your profile right?
Did you load a save state or did you load it from the in-game memory card?
If it's not a save state, could you upload that save file for us?
Go to Tools -> Memcard Manager (GC), load your memory card, select the save file and export it to GCI. Upload that and link us to it here.

Yes i'm using 4.0.1, and i've always used the in game memory card.
So here is the save file.

It can probably be fixed in some way, but I'm curious as to how it actually happened.

Well i don't know for sure but i think it has something to do with that door next to the savepoint. Because the part of the wall i am stuck in is where i would be if i used the said door.
I found some screenshots that might help about it. They are from Dawn of the new World, but the rooms are similar.

In the GC game, the savepoint is actually closer to the door, about where the barrel is in this picture.

This is the room i ended in after saving the first time. The zone of the wall in which i can "move" is in the same place and same dimensions as the first stair.
Don't know if this info can help you, but that's actually all i know about my problem ^^

That's really messed up and shouldn't have happened.
I converted your save game to both PAL and NTSC since you have a region specific copy of the game and tried to get you out of the wall but to no success. I can't get the "Walk through walls" Gecko code to work in the NTSC version and trying to hex edit (the correct values in) the save is a pain. Maybe someone more skilled can help you.
To make sure I understand you correctly; you saved in this room and ended up in the wall after loading the save?

Did everything work perfectly up to this point? Did you do anything specific (something we could reproduce maybe) to get stuck in there?

Garteal: I would use Cheat Engine to try and find the X/Y/Z pos memory addresses in RAM and edit them, btw. I don't have Windows running on my machines atm, so maybe you could try that?

Yes it's exactly what happened, i saved in the room and when i loaded i was in the wall.
Before that everything was fine, i only had little frame drops in some menus, but that is all. As for reproducing it, i don't really know, but i guess something like pressing A twice while being the closest to the door and on the savepoint would maybe work.
