I have strange issue regarding music in ToS, I described it here:
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-new-ax-hle-v2-testing-thread?page=3
In short, when playing in dolphin, music doesn't sound correct, however if "dump audio" is used, and that file uploaded to soundcloud.com, then it sounds correct !
How strange is that ?
If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be great.
Also was wondering atleast how does Iselia music ( first village ) sounds for other users ?
Does it sounds correct as in
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6kyOUkJ0A0
or do other people have same issue as me ???
I started a new game in ToS just to hear how it sounds in the emulator. Then I listen to it from your youtube link and I must say that the emulator doesn't sound that good or vibrant. It makes me wonder if all the other tracks of the game aren't emulated as accurately like they should originally sound.
It might be a problem with the mixer? The raw audio data is probably correct (hence the dump sounds fine), but when Dolphin mixes it and outputs it to your speakers, it might be doing something off. This is just a guess at best.

Did you listen to this ?

Does it sound better then in dolphin for you ?

Yeah, it could be.
Dump sounds fine only when uploaded to soundcloud.com, if I just listen to it in WMP, then it sounds the same as in Dolphin
OK I listened to the one you uploaded. Its better but its still no where near the quality of the youtube one though.
To put it more simply. The one you uploaded sounds better than the one I heard through my game when I heard it but the original from the youtube link is still VASTLY superior.

You probably then have the same issue, maybe this is really the issue with dolphin mixer ?
It sounds better in 3.0-842 ( it was from ax-hle brench before it was merged ), it sounds pretty much the same in Dolphin as it sounds when uploaded to soundcloud.com
Issue I am talking about is basically missing notes.
As for why it sounds even better on youtube, it might be because OST might have been released on CD and was not played directly on gamecube
Perhaps.... Maybe it was played on GC as well. I know that the OST's on CD sound exactly how they do in the game itself. If for some reason they enhanced it on the OST CD's then it would mention it (I would think). So keeping this in mind I believe original from what was uploaded to youtube is what it sounded like initially from playing it on the GC itself. So with all this being said it is safe to say that the mixer is at fault here.
1107 still no OpenGL fix. I'm going back to 367.7. There's too many little minor graphical glitches in DX11. OpenGL seems to be the best one to use for best results and overall graphics quality. I can deal with the sound.
Looks like I forgot to report in, but it probably doesn't matter much. Latest version I compiled was 3.5-1067, seems to be working just fine with OpenGL. If this truly is an issue, open up a new issue on Dolphin's Google Code page and make sure to include a FIFO log.
I never done that before. Can you tell me the process of doing that?
