Quote:AFAIK, the game doesn't suddenly get more demanding.
It will get more demanding as more characters join the party. Certain area's you'll visit later are also pretty demanding.
As Shonumi also said, certain battles and boss battles with a full party and such will definitely drop your fps.
The picture on the left has the custom projection hack turned off, the one on the right has it on..how do i make this hack work?

Tested 3.5-351 and the new custom projection hack doesn't seem to work in dialogue scenes. Is this how it should behave?

I tried to manually revert the hack to 0.5 and 1, and with those values the double lines go away. At least in DirectX 9. DirectX 11 even gives me other graphic problems.

So, here with manually reverting to 0.5 and 1 in the custom projection hack and running the game on DX9 the double linees go away.

Also, my previous reports were wrong. On a e8400, at least the beginning of the game is smooth. There are stutters here and there but they are not performance related since I can go up to 170% of speed.

More members as in 4 players in battle? You get 4 players in battle fairly early in the game, right from the start actually (Lloyd, Genis, Colette, Kratos). Even with LLE, audio, I didn't notice those battles being any more demanding than later ones, or ones with just two characters (e.g. just Lloyd and Genis). Only when there were a full party for battles one both sides (the player's and the game's enemies) and during certain attacks or spells did I notice a slight drop on LLE audio for a few instances; it's non-existent with HLE audio.

The custom projection hack works fine for me. How are you guys settings it? Take a screenshot of your settings if you can.
You won't notice the performance drop as much as he will obviously Shonumi. Later battles with a full party, and 3~5 monsters + bosses will drop his performance. What I meant with more characters joining the party is that there are some cutscenes where are your characters are visible onscreen. Depending on the location, etc, it'll also pack a punch.

That said, I think he should be fine with HLE though.

The picture on the left looks almost good. What's your internal resolution set to?

Set it to DirectX 9

Hello, the game runs smoothly at 60 fps and all but sometimes randomly after some playing time, 30min~1hour, it starts having a progressive slowdown going from 100% to complete stop after a minute or so. I have to reset the emulator, besides sometimes it corrupts my save state if I save during the slowdown... I didn't have this problem with any other game yet, just finished Twilight Princess and some others. I thought it could be overheating but I checked CPU/GPU temp and it's still low.

Could you share your temperatures when you're getting those slowdowns?

Post your settings too.

Anyone else run into a sound problem when trying to use the Hi Res texture packs, stutters a lot right from the first cut scene.
