Little update, all parts arrived yesterday and windows installed fine etc, however then kept getting memory_management errors, took 1 stick of ram out and all was good...put that back and crashes galore.
Ran memtest and all apparently was good, wasn't happy with that so bought some G-Skill Ripjaw memory, arrived this morning and everything is perfect....not had a single crash since so that board obviously doesn't like Crucial memory.
Just playing with settings now.
It's more likely that those Crucial RAM you've purchased were defect.
You should be able to RMA them and get new ones for free.
Sounds good spinneruk. Let us know how it goes!

Depends on who you bought it from. Some companies have accounts with shippers and all they need to do is give you a label to print out. Other times, you need to pay for it yourself. I've dealt with more than a few customers for whom the latter was quite a shock to them.
Already sorted, filled in the RMA online, it's being picked up on Monday via citylink so all good.
PC is rock solid now, not a single crash....however have been spending far too much time playing gamecube games now though.
Had a go at overclocking it and running at 4.4ghz now which is great....stupidly responsive pc.
Thanks again for all the help, will be trying Wii games tomorrow.
I just came here to say:
The title would have been better as:
