None. You'll be able to run all games full speed (or close to). Assuming you overclock of course

4.2GHz and you'll be fine

Ok cool like the sound of that, will be back for advice on overclocking though as i haven't got the foggiest what i'm doing

In the beginning try without overclocking. You'll get good performances at stock speed anyway

Quote:These are the major differences between the i3, i5 and i7:
Intel Core i3 CPU's are dual-core CPU's which have no Turbo Boost, but they have Hyperthreading.
Intel Core i5 CPU's are quad-core CPU's which have Turbo Boost, but they don't have Hyperthreading.
Intel Core i7 CPU's are quad-core CPU's which have Turbo Boost and Hyperthreading. (some i7 models have 6 cores)
Also desktop i5s have 6MB of L3 cache while i7s have 8MB of L3 cache. And then of course there are mobile i5s that are dual core with HT, turbo boost, and 3MB of L3 cache.
Yeah. It all comes down to brand preferences. But ASUS is really good too, so go for it.
Cheers for replying so quick.
All parts have been ordered now arriving tomorrow, is there a page to go to that I can see the best settings for dolphin on my system or is it alot of trial and error ?
Thanks again for all the help you have given me.
Settings vary per game.
Generally the settings in the link Zee provided should work fine for most games.
The only things you'll want to change are:
Set the framelimit to auto;
Set the fullscreen resolution to your native resolution;
Set Internal Resolution to x3/x4;
Set Anisotropy Filtering to x16;
Depending on the game, you might also want to switch between:
EFB Copy to RAM or Texture
DSP HLE or DSP LLE
