Weird.
9-10FPS, HLE is gorgeous
LLE isn't essential for Zelda SS.
HLE works pretty fine. Some glitches from time to time but no real issues. No music cuts. Ideal for small configs (or if you wanna play one or two hours on your laptop Tongue).
LLE is always better of course. If your system is powerful enough there's no hesitation

The problem I have has to do with the difference in settings between HLE and LLE. Seems like with a 4.4ghz 2500k and GTX 670 I could go higher than 3x IR with no AA to avoid audio skipping. I can basically max out Skyward Sword with HLE though with little slowdown but some of the audio looping. I tried Vbeam and idle looping though and it seems to cause more stuttering than before.

With your CPU you don't need to use the "VBeam trick" (VBeam + Idle Skipping). Just try to check VBeam.

Are these sound glitches or music issues/cuts?
If these are only sound glitches you could try to use XAudio instead of DSound

Seems like they're minor glitches with HLE on only.

Should I be using XAudio instead of DSound at all times or is it just a per game basis and what are the pros and cons between the two?
Sometimes, XAudio2 can solve audio issues. I personally use XAudio2.

You should use DSound. But it appears that XAudio seems to reduce glitches in some games. For example in RE series XAudio is often better if you use HLE

Cool, good to know these things. Always fun once you find the perfect settings for a game. Big Grin
LLE all the way, HLE should be buried & forgotten in my opinion. Sorry for sounding arrogant but why people still use HLE is beyond me.
All my games works perfect with LLE just perfect, it's worth every effort dumping the LLE files I tell ya.
