Hi all,

I've spent the best part of a day trying to get Twilight Princess running well on my computer and have decided it's time to ask for help!

My computer specs are:

Windows XP x86 SP3
Intel Core2Quad Q8200 @ 2.3ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX560ti 1024mb
4096mb DDR2 RAM

Running Dolphin-win-x86-v3.0-791

I'm getting frame rates in the mid 20fps in indoor areas and 15-19fps in large outdoor areas.

My computer should be able to run it at least at 30fps on average right?

Is there something really simple I am missing?

Any help is much appreciated to stop me tearing my hair out!
Overclock your CPU. Overclock it as high as you can. But be sure, to have a excellent cooling system and good knowledge.

Not really. Your CPU is too weak. In any way you can't expect getting full speed in this game

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. Guess I'll give up on playing Twilight Princess for another couple of years till my computer is powerful enough lol.
Nope, you should better save money for a powerful PC.
He could play Twilight Princess fairly well with a slight overclock (300-400MHz). He won't be able to run all areas (especially Hyrule Field later in the game) full speed, but the majority of the game should be very playable.

I suggest these settings --> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23618

This build --> http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/downloads/list

I actually suggest 3.0-790. It has some awesome improvements to the video thread. http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
