I am sort of skeptical about win8. I just think it will be not as easy to use, even for a computer pro like me. Microsoft was WOOT!! for win7 but

for win8. Anyone else agree?

A better question would be does anyone disagree
Windows 8 is very counter intuitive for mouse based systems. Looks great for tablets and hybrids, but horrible for standard laptops and desktops.
The interesting thing I though of the other day was this:
Windows 8 uses a touch interface for tablets based on gestures. This is great for tablets and laptops, but particularly horrible for HTPCs. My question now is whether the input received by one if Samsung's motion sensing Smart TVs could somehow be mapped to a Windows 8 HTPC so the gestures and interface could be used more effectively. That would be cool.
Actually, I probably only don't like it because it messed up my laptop and I had to buy a new one with windows 7.....

How did that happen? but really you should have used a virtual machine to dual boot instead of making it the only OS on your harddrive so as to avoid circumstances such as this.
I think it should have built in support for an XBox controller as XBoxes have a similar GUI now, and it works brilliantly with a gamepad. Also, the larger buttons would make controlling a pc with a Wiimote/Razer Hydra much easier than on Windows 7. However, they haven't implemented these features, so there are no benefits to non-touchscreen users.
ED2 posted a vid (dont remember where) of a guy using a wiimote as a mouse, i'd love to see more info on that, i wouldnt mind a mouse that had motion sensing
I did? O.o
I said that there was a program that did that, but I never posted a vid XD
You'll grow to hate it very fast. It's horrible imprecise. Simple things like pressing the minimize button on a window become extremely difficult.

That depends on the OS and the DPI settings, but I would agree this sucks on Windows or OS X. On Xubuntu, with my DPI set ridiculously high I can easily press all buttons. I've been meaning to go look for a program for Linux for that.
Is there a program that uses Wii Motion +? That could be more accurate.
