You forgot a word there. What exactly are you comparing it to?
Unless the core 2 duo system has a god awful GPU and you're running a GPU heavy application there is no way that is possible. Or perhaps the core 2 duo system is overheating and being throttled? There must be something wrong with the system otherwise it defies every single piece of data collected about the two architectures by hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of users. If you have indeed found such a chip you must prove it to the world.
LOL p4 is certanly NOT faster then a core 2 duo,even if it has 700 mhz higher clock.

Still not possible. If it was running at 2.33GHz then it must have been a Q8200 unless it was underclocked.

It's the Q8200 he's talking about. And NaturalViolence is correct.
Even at these low clocks the Q8200 outperforms a P4 at 3.6GHz.
As said before, there's no way your CPU will outperform a C2D/C2Q.
If you stand so firmly in the results of your comparison, why don't you share them?

I wouldn't be able to prove it anyway because I would need to do screen capture. The p4 would struggle while the core 2 would just use another core

That's not a valid excuse. If the framerate changes while the screencapture is going on it won't effect the screenshot. It's sequential logic. Just hit print screen.
