Yes, by all means.

The better case, PSU, and ventilation will provide better stability and more room for further upgrades.

Which build would that be?

Not a problem, I live for these kind of things.

Ah yes, that's a good one.

I wouldn't know about the Motion Plus issues becuase I have yet to play any games that require it or even a standard wiimote.

Check the controller forums for help on that.

Yes and no.

You can get them working but it will require a bit of extra work.
I never understood how people could have issues with their motion+ controllers. I have the Zelda one and have had zero issues with it. Zero. As long as I disable Windows Automatic Update (to prevent it from searching for drivers to make it pair faster), I connect every time.

Worked on Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro, Lion on my Mac, Windows 7 on my desktop, Windows 8 on my desktop, and Xubuntu on my desktop. It works fine, as do my regular remotes.

The only thing I can figure is that maybe the Zelda remote is different somehow, but I doubt it.
For me I had to install the toshiba stack and do some tinkering with the settings to get it to work.
MS stack all the way. I literally just popped in my BT dongle and used Dolphin's pairing feature and it worked. Everything else, except for Auto Update, is default.
